Secondhand

This is more for my fellow Brits.

Has anyone used the Music Magpie and the ilk for selling stuff?

I was wondering what they were like for price and paying?

I've decided that I want to cull a huge amount of my collection, more than what is showing in the "Wishlist", probably getting closer to 40% to go.

I was thinking exactly the same. Surely anyone who can afford a TV campaign are slick and reliable enough?

Tell you what, you go first and let me know!  :tease:

I don't know about DVDs but I typed in a few games I was wanting to get rid of and I was very disappointed by the amount they were offering for them.

Well, I just tried this for fun with the Criterion set of Rohmer's Six Moral Tales which you can get used from Amazon US for $63 upwards (~ £40; on Amazon UK the same item goes for £50 upwards) and they offer £10. That's pretty ridiculous.

They offer 33% of the lowest Marketplace price up to a max of £3 for regular DVD's and then sell on Marketplace as zOverstocks.

I did sell them some CD's I got in a bulk buy of crap and they gave rubbish amounts but wasn't worth the hassle of selling them for 1p on Marketplace. I got the cheque about 3 weeks later.

I have sold games to CeX online frequently and always been paid via BT within a few days. They offer bugger all for movies though.
