It's a good pilot episode. Not necessarily something which gets you hooked, but it does a good job introducing the characters and the premise.
I enjoyed the first season of this series. But I got really bored with the second season and never bothered picking up the rest of the series.

Now on DVD for the first time ever, you won't need to call anyone... you can "Go Ghostbusters!"
GhostBusters
1.01 I'll Be a Son of a Ghostbuster
I used to love this series as a kid. But it is something which is clearly only enjoyable to kids and does not hold quite up as well as He-Man and She-Ra does. Also this is the first time that I have seen it in English and the voice-acting is really annoying. I never knew the GhostBusters are supposed to be teenagers. They had much more adult voices in the German dub, as far as I remember.

GOD IS IN ONE OF THOSE MOODS
AGAIN
...
...one of those "I think I'll cause another Great Flood to wipe mankind from the face of the Earth" kind of moods. He's always expected more from humanity and he's getting a little annoyed. Luckily God isn't quite ready to start all over again, so he decides that if one individual can prove the world is worth saving, he will spare it. And being a sporting kind of diety, God lets the Devil pick the man upon whose shoulders the fate of the world will rest.
Unfortunately, the Devil picks Bob Alman, a beer-drinking, porn-watching, "what's-in-it-for-me?" kind of guy who really doesn't want to be responsible for anyone or anything. Start praying...and start laughing.
Featuring the voices of Alan Cumming, French Stewart, Laurie Metcalf and James Garner.
God, the Devil and Bob
1.01 In the Beginning
A nice little comedy. This series was cancelled after four episodes, mainly because of pressure from religious groups.

I like this live-action adaption even more than the anime. The actors are very well chosen and the comedy works. I always enjoy watching it (have done so multiple times now). The lead actress is the very definition of
Hollywood Homely
. Supposedly unattractive to the other characters, she is the hottest of them all. Of the main three female characters, I find the one, who is the supposed to be the most attractive, the least attractive of them (of course she still is beautiful).

Overall a good pilot episode, but it dragged in some places. I have had this series for a few years now but I am still stuck in the beginning of season 2.
The actors are good. I love Robert Culp as Bill. He is probably the most fun character. Connie Sellecca is very easy on the eyes.

Originally this was supposed to be a pilot for a new series, but it was not picked up. Instead in now serves as the last episode of the series. Which works quite well. It shows how and why Ralph has to give away the suit.

But instead of interviewing for the office job, Greg inadvertently lands the show’s starring role! Although he's never acted a day in his life, an ecstatic Greg soon realizes, "This place is full of freaks. I'm gonna fit right in!"

I really like the premise about the puppets being "fabricated Americans". And it was I show which I enjoyed every episode. I followed it when it was originally aired and was disappointed when it was cancelled. It has some great cast like Eugene Levy, Seth Green and Sarah Silverman.
The pilot episode is really great and sets up the show brilliantly.

There's the two-faced diva, her insecure best friend, the wide-eyed newcomer who threatens the offscreen balance of power, the surfer stud, the show's heartthrob and his stand-in/gofer. Guiding these "innocents" through the savage world of network presidents and last-minute rewrites are the producers, who live in constant fear of the one misstep that would send ratings plummeting and their careers into oblivion.

I was really surprised about this series. I would have liked to see more of it than the one season we got. My favorite character is the one played by Lindsay Sloane (who I liked as Valerie on Sabrina the Teenage Witch).

I have read the original manga, seen the live-action series and the anime adaption. And the live-action series is my favorite of the three. I like how the characters and how they fit the important stuff successfully into a rather short series. Also I like how they handled the love-interest. In the mange she was a minor character which really didn't go anywhere. There she was a new teacher like Onizuka and over time started to look up to him. But here she is already on the teacher staff but hates her job. In the beginning she also despises Onizuka but over time she starts to like him and also through him she starts to the positive side of her position as a teacher. Also interesting is, that the two actors met on this series and married each other a few years later.

This anime is good. Though I prefer the live-action series. The anime follows the manga more closely though. Funnily it incoporates a few ideas the live-action series came up with.
The pilot episode is a double-length episode. It covers about the same story as the first live-action episode. Only here Onizuka starts out as a student teacher at another school which he finishes successfully in this episode. This means that the student that he helps here will not be part of the series after this episode. In the live-action version she was. She was his biggest supporter there.

Not a TV series, but a web series. But I am including it anyway in this marathon. I always enjoyed this little series. Each episode is only a few minutes but always fun. Felicia Day (Penny on Dr. Horrible) also has written and produced this series.

When a second Gunslinger Girl series was announced I was excited. BUt when I first saw it I was very disappointed. Another studio produced this one. They changed the character design, the voice acting and animation style. Everything I thought was great in the first series. The author of the manga was heavily involved in the second series and is responsible for the character design change. I have read that he wanted to bring it closer to the character design of later volumes of the manga. But I always preferred the early chapters.
The "handlers" of the Gunslinger Girls look much too young now in my opinion.
The only thing which I liked from the beginning is the new opening theme:
