Plot:
Fake psychic Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and his skeptical best friend Gus (Dulé Hill) are on the case in the fresh and quirky runaway hit 'Psych'! Relieve every quick-witted remark and hilarious misadventure in all 15 Season One episodes, including both the domestic and international versions of the series pilot! Exclusive bonus features in this must-own 4-disc set include a behind-the-scenes featurette, insightful character profiles and deleted scenes. Return to the scene of the crime with 'Psych', the phenomenon that the 'New York Post' awards **** and declares "JUST TERRIFIC."

Psych
1.01 Pilot (2006-07-07)
Writer: Steve Franks (Writer)
Director: Michael Engler
Cast: James Roday (Shawn Spencer), Dulé Hill (Burton Guster), Timothy Omundson (Carlton Lassiter), Anne Dudek (Lucinda), Corbin Bernsen (Henry Spencer), Kirsten Nelson (Karen Vick), Don S. Davis (Mr. McCallum), Pascale Hutton (Katarina McCallum), Josh Hayden), Ingrid Tesch (Waitress), P. Lynn Johnson (Mrs. McCallum), Jason Bryden (Camden McCallum), Robert Parent (Malcolm Orso), Jocelyne Loewen (Lobster Shack Blonde), Michael Roberds (Manager), Dagmar Midcap (Reporter), Patricia Idlette (Desk Sergeant), Mark Acheson (Suspect), Sage Brocklebank (McNab), Rob Bruner (Police Artist), Anthony Harrison (Patrolman), Dylan Rhymer (Billy Camp), Artine Brown (Officer), Matthew Finlason (Bill), Christopher Heyerdahl (Long Hair), Ian Robison (Bodyguard), Chelan Simmons)

This is a series I enjoyed since the beginning. I love the interaction between Shawn and Gus. Also the flirting between Shawn and Jules is fun to watch. Though she isn't part of the pilot. She replaced another (similar) character after the pilot. I like Jules a lot better than the character here.

Warner Home Video (United States)
Length:410 min.
Video:Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78
Audio:English: Dolby Digital 5.1, Portuguese: Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo
Subtitles:Chinese, English, French, Korean, Spanish, Thai

Plot:
Every not-so-often, along comes a show that's different. Wonderfully different. Pushing Daisies, TV Guide's Matt Roush writes, "restores my faith in TV's ability to amuse, enchant and entertain." It's the story of Ned, a lonely pie maker whose touch can reanimate the dead. Cool, but there's a hitch. If Ned touches the person again, the miracle is reversed. If he doesn't, a bystander goes toes up. What to do? Easy: Team with a private eye, bring murder victims back just long enough to discover whodunit, and collect the rewards. Things go well until Ned's boyhood sweetie is the next dear departed, and he can't resist bringing her back for keeps! Dig the wit, style and quirky romance: If you're not laughing, you may need a visit from Ned.

A short-lived series I enjoyed very much. But I must admit I am glad that it only had two short seasons. The premise is nice, but nothing which holds up multiple seasons.
The pilot episode is a perfect introduction to this series.

Once again you have picked one of my favorites.  This show was too quirky for TV which is why it didn't last.  The writing and characters are brilliant.  Thanks .. this was a great hit

Somehow, Miki can't complete even one of these simple tasks without the full employment of her extensive bone-crushing, skull-splitting martial arts moves and penchant for unleashing relentless destruction. Rather over the top comedy about a fighting girl working in a Ramen shop who has a rivalry with another girl working in a neighboring shop.
The first episode is not that good but I remember enjoying later episodes.

IMDb | Wikipedia

VIZ Media (United States)
Length:450 min.
Video:Full Frame 1.33:1
Audio:English: Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo, Japanese: Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo
Subtitles:English

Plot:
It's not easy being teenaged martial artist Ranma Saotome, but it's even worse when your martial-artist father Genma takes you from home at an early age to go on a decade-long training mission. He doesn't speak a word of Chinese, and yet he insists upon bringing you to the cursed training ground known as Jusenkyo, where falling into one of the many springs there turns you into whoever - or whatever - drowned there last. And then, the two of you have this little accident.

From now on, a splash of cold water will turn your father into a giant panda, while you, well, you turn into a re-haired (and problematically well-built) female version of yourself. Hoy water will reverse the effect, but only until the next time. What's a half-guy, half-girl to do?

This is a good first episode. So far I only have seen the first season of this series, even though I also own the second one. It is a fun series, but I never had the urge to continue. I own and have read the complete manga though (all 38 volumes). I had bought them cheap on eBay a few years ago. I had enjoyed reading it.

This series started to air around the same time as Star Trek did in the US. Germany only got Star Trek a few years later. 1972 to be exact.
In some regards it seems more progressive than Star Trek. Take this first episode for example: The captain has a female superior. And after pulling some Kirk-like stuff he is penalized by having to do patrolling, and is overseen by his new female security officer who has the right to overrule him when he violates regulations.

A great beginning to a great show. My favorite scenes are the one where the first introduced the hologram concept by having a party for the recently deceased crew member who has been resurrected as hologram. And of course the famous "everybody is dead, Dave" scene.

Plot:
In 1988, it exploded onto TV full of unprecedented honesty, attitude and flat-out hilarity. No other series - before or since - has had its worldwide impact. In this groundbreaking debut season, meet the working-class Conners of Lanford, Illinois - wife/mother/domestic goddess Roseanne (Emmy® - winner 'Roseanne Barr'), husband Dan (seven-time Emmy® - nominee 'John Goodman'), her sister Jackie (three-time Emmy® - winner 'Laurie Metcalf'), and kids Becky ('Lecy Goranson'), Darlene (two time Emmy® - 'nominee Sara Gilbert'), and D.J. ('Michael Fishman'). Watch as they live their lives like no other family in television history as they launch the legendary sitcom that changed our culture forever.

It all begins with these '23 classic episodes' - featuring such guest stars as 'George Clooney', 'Fred Dalton Thompson' and more - including never before seen 'Bonus Material' produced exclusively for this collection.

This is a great series. I always enjoyed watching it. Between the first and second episode there was a cast change. The actor playing DJ changed. Also in these early episodes you can see a young George Clooney as Roseanne's boss.
I am still not used to Roseanne's original voice. It is very annoying. I grew up with the German dub.

I enjoyed watching this series when it originally aired, but lost interest in the second season. I only finished watching it later on DVD.
As far as I am aware it was one of the first series which tried to build upon the success of Buffy and Dawson's Creek, by having a Dawson's Creek type of teen soap with a science fiction or fantasy twist. Many followed for good or worse.
