Bourne Ultimatum
« on: January 31, 2008, 06:49:37 PM »
I really enjoyed Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy, I own them both and I watched them both more than once.   Is Bourne Ultimatum worth breaking my 10$ rule ?

And for those who want to use the images in other polls, those are the bbcodes to put in your poll options, you only need to remove the space after the first bracket

Oh my goodness, yes with a big huge cherry on top!

Supremacy was excellent, and Ultimatum continues the story exactly (the last scene in Supremacy is halfway through Ultimatum). Somehow, rather than being a mere part 3, I seriously consider it to be one of the very best action films.

Unless you don't like shaky-cam! Personally I thought it worked brilliantly in this case.

I voted , because I bought the movie just recently for 12.99 EUR (~19 USD).

While it's a good conclusion to the series I really don't like the shaky-cam. In the first Bourne you actually saw him fight and punch and kick. In the third it's only a blurr.

I can't recommend this all action fast flowing movie enough, it has made me reconsider the Bourne vs Bond debate that has been simmering in the UK

I should go out and buy it tonight then.  With the good comments I want to watch it this week-end but there's a snow storm on the way, I can't get tomorrow.

I seriously never liked Bond that much. None of them. A friend of mine dragged me into that one with Brosnan in the arctic: ludicrous.

Then Craig came and the Craig-is-not-Bond-campaign. I couldn't care less. When I actually went to the movie I really enjoyed it because it somehow felt real. Bond was among men like Bourne and Bauer. He was human after all.

Casino Royale is the only Bond movie in my collection.

I don't know if I can post after reading all of this anti-Bond heresy.  :heat:

I love all Bonds. Each time they change the Bond guy, I think I'm going to hate it, but I just love them all.  :yahoo:

I loved the first 2 Bourne's and have purchased the 3rd. I've been waiting to do a Bourne marathon. Sounds like that might be a good idea if the 2nd Bourne overlaps with the 3rd, if I'm reading that right.  ???

Bond is great and could still kick Bourne's arse back into amnesia any time he wants.  :tease: But not all the Bond's are good and Karsten, if you got dragged into Die Another Day, that was about as bad as you could get! I think Moonraker is the worst, but it does have one of the best stunts ever in it.

I think my favourite would be From Russia With Love. If you like the story behind Casino Royale, you should enjoy that one too.

I think Ultimatum is the worst of the three Bourne films.

I don't like Bond either, I own only one which I got because I forgot to send back the Columbia House card  :redcard:, I only kept it because of Sophie Marceau  :-* and Denise Richard  :drooling:  :-[

Please stop saying you all don't like Bond!  :yellowcard:

I've bought all 4 Ultimate Edition set completely blind (yes, I've never seen a single Bond movie in my life... yet!  :bag:) And you're all scaring me now!  :o

You're in good shape Sebastien. Bond is great. He's not supposed to be "human" as Karsten said above. He's supposed to get in a fight with an overwhelming number of bad guys and, after he kicks their behinds, simply get up, fix his jacket, adjust his tie and leave the room without a scratch on him, usually on his way to see a lady. Great stuff.

If I want to watch a real-man action hero it's John McClaine. Nobody bleeds and bruises like he does.

FWIW I highly recommend Bourne Touti (but remember, I suggested 300 to you as well  :slaphead:)
