"Tolerable"? To be fair, the new Comic Relief special was intended to be a genuine if albeit short episode to preview the new story at Easter. This was just a very silly spoof from a time when Doctor Who was merely a fond memory. So you didn't stick it long enough to see them communicate by farting?

Well, there was no doubt it would go there.  ::) What is it with Brits and fart jokes? I tore into Davies when commenting on his "farting trilogy" in S1 of Doctor Who, but it seems that Moffat enjoys this kind of stuff just as much.

I don't know. Except that we always seem to be able to find it very funny!

By the way, sfdebris is currently revisiting all Doctors. He also made a nice video about why a lot of early episodes are lost. His channel is also available as iTunes podcast.

I posted a link in the Curtain Call thread yesterday, but actual details and tributes were not known, so here is a typical and fitting BBC article featuring a few comments from Russell T. Davies amongst others.

Great start to the new series! Followed by a nice tribute on CBBC to Elisabeth. I'll post it if I can find it.

I have my DVR set to record the new show tonight.  I'll try to watch it later if I get the chance.  In the middle of cleaning.  Someone basically invited themselves over tomorrow.  Before I wouldn't have been...focused on the cleaning, but he went and made some comments after the last time he was over..dust on a tv screen equals filthy here I guess...never mind that his is frequently buried under dust.  So..I'm a tad...annoyed at the moment.  Anyway...I'll watch the new Doctor Who as soon as I can.
