I haven't had time to watch anything lately....but since I finally have a day off, maybe later today.  I want to watch some stuff from my DVR first.  It is almost full again.

I've watched some today...still at like 62% full.
It seems like it fills up faster now...and when I delete some hour long shows, the % drops by 4 or 5 %.

If the drive is full, you will see it being used faster. You really need to make a decent reduction to see it working optimally. Same reason you shouldn't let hard drives in pcs over fill.

Ahh..ok.  I didn't know that.

I got it down to about 62% or so yesterday from watching some stuff.  I'll go watch a few more things tonight probably.

Oh...I turned on BBC America over the weekend to check on something else..and I ended up watching Top Gear.  I know almost nothing about cars..I don't particularly care that much about them either, but that show is damn entertaining.  The three of them had made their own versions of limos in the episode I first saw...what they came up with was just so...bizarre, I had to keep watching.

Top Gear is my favourite show! You can blame me for that one if you like...  I think I remember the one you saw; did Jeremy Clarkson build a stove into his?  :hmmmm:

I was going to blame you for it anyway. ;)

I don't think there was a stove in any of them.

One of them had a convertible Porsche...one had some little red thing that he made really long...Jeremy I think did that one.  The last one had the front end of two different cars..both ends were a front end and both front ends could be used.  At least in theory.  The one steering wheel kept coming off.
They each had to drive someone to some music award show.  The long red one came apart someone along the way.  I think James did the one with two front ends..he got horrible lost and the guy he was driving got ticked off and got out of the car.  The guy with the Porsche got there first.

I'm still learning their names.  But the show is so entertaining.

I just happened to turn it on when they were all driving up in their inventions..  I just had to keep watching.  I think I'm hooked on the show now.  There was a marathon on over the weekend.  So I saw more episodes.
I saw when Stephen Fry was on...few other people I didn't recognize.
I saw when they drove the big trucks..lorries I think they were calling them.  That was funny....Jeremy caught his trailer on fire.

Are you secretly British?  :P Here's a couple of my favourite moments:

The photography on the show is fantastic. I'm particularly fond of James May's film with rally driver Ken block (6 mins in especially is a goosebump moment):

And have you come across Stig yet? "He" is an amazing driver(s)... actually, he's a silent character who has been played secretly by several drivers over the years. Could you drive in the rain like this: :o

The last Stig was sacked for revealing his identity in a book so he's just been replaced because they do a wonderful job with the myth. I honestly think this new guy might be better...

I actually am part English.   :D

Those are good clips.  That tiny car was hilarious.

I have seen some things with Stig.  And his relatives in other countries.

Was the name of the guy in the tiny car Jeremy?  I remember James now..who is the other guy?

Yes, the guy in the car was Jeremy. Here, I'll give you a quick guide! :P

Jeremy Clarkson - The longest serving presenter of Top Gear has been present since the old days when it was a more serious car program. He writes for newspapers, mainly satirical stuff aside from proper car reviews, which have also been published as very funny books. Frequently thought of as Britain's ideal Prime Minister :hysterical:, because of his out-spoken old fashioned views and ceaseless support of all things British. If there's an "ism" on the end of a word, he's probably been accused of it! Recent outbursts have included calling then Prime Minister Gordon Brown a "one eyed Scottish idiot" (not to his face!) and remarking in a review of a van (I think), that it was ideal for "truck drivers who want to murder prostitutes"! Not known for tact, the other two frequently laugh at his poor practical skills (he tends to bash things a lot with hammers), lack of patience, bluster and tendency to yell "POWWWER!" when reviewing cars. Actually very intelligent of course, he also fronted a favourite documentary of mine on the BBC called The Greatest Raid of All Time which was essentially the WWII mission that gave birth to the SAS.

This for me, is possibly his finest moment. A full road test of the Ford Fiesta, following a complaint that Top Gear doesn't do serious reviews anymore. It starts very straightforward. The end is jaw-dropping!

James May - Regularly the butt of jokes for being fastidious and nerdy, "Captain Slow" got his nickname for being very careful about everything. He's very clever about anything to do with the war and engineering, a fact the other two find very boring! He's also a licensed pilot and hosted very good shows about classic toys and another about the moon landings where he was flown to the edge of space to experience as near as possible what it was like for an astronaut. It is of no surprise to anyone that he would reminisce about Airfix models and train sets! If you drop across any of his other shows, I highly recommend them.

I gave you the Ken Block clip before, so I'll leave it this time!  ;)

Richard "Hamster" Hammond - Almost every episode will feature a joke at some point targeted at Richard's shortness, mid-life crisis fashion/hair or the fact he had his teeth whightened. Despite this, he is possibly the sharpest of the three and might be the most skilled driver, with a love of Porsche, Mustang and bikes. Also brings his trademark wit ("I broke it... a bit" is a typical style of his) to a gameshow called Total Wipeout, a version of which I believe is in the States.

This version of Top Gear that's now ran for a good few years possibly matured when the real relationship between all three was proven by Hammond's near fatal crash while filming for the program that left him with brain damage. Truly very lucky, it was a life or death moment and he has said he doesn't want to dwell on it. The first episode of that series examined the crash in full, but hasn't been mentioned since except for a very sly comment just last week, courtesy of Jeremy. ;)

Here's the clips from the show when they talked about it. Still send a shiver down my neck!
