Sadly the German original also mentioned on that site is too expensive for a blind buy (€36 on amazon.de).

A bit cheaper: SoundOfMusic 25,50 (+ shipping (3,30))

EDIT:
Just found something (sadly couldn't find any DVDs yet)

RE-EDIT:

Now this might be interesting.

The Happiness of the Katakuris

Amazon Marketplace hast it from € 1,77 up (new)

In fact it sounded so interesting that I immediately ordered a copy.

Stage musicals are the only kind of musicals I seem to find. No movies. It's seems that stage musicals are getting quite popular in Japan these days.

And another one that might roughly fit in:

Wild Zero

FSK-18 (!!)
available from Amazon Marketplace from € 7,89 up

Is described as "Blues Brothers meets Dawn Of The Dead meeting The Crying Game"

I am sure you know that the cover might be mis leading. This might indeed simply be The Sound Of Music in Japanese. Miike is very diverse and has even made kids films! Then again, let me know how it goes, maybe they refer to Ichi and Audition for a reason, that could make this really different...

I went by the description, not by the cover and it hopefully has nothing to do with "The Sound Of Music"
It was described as "black comedy" being partly musical and having animated sequences (clay). This combination sounds so interesting that I simply had to have it. After all you can't really go wrong with this price (1.78 €)

I still haven't really found other Japanese musicals, but I stumbled across the Japanese version of the "Tanz der Vampire" musical now and am listening to it

Yes. It was okay. Nothing really special, but I enjoyed it. I have given it a
