MEDIUM CANCELED

This one really has me bummed this morning... This was one of my favorite shows... have watched it since the pilot episode originally aired. But not only do they decide to cancel it after this season... they also decided to shorten the season to only 13 episodes. The final episode airing Jan. 21st.  :weep:

Wow, I didn't even know this show was still going.

This is the second season it has been on CBS right?
Makes me wonder why they bothered to renew it in the spring just to do this.  Network decisions about shows are irritating at times.

I watched it during the first few years and then I got away from it.

Same, I watched it when it first started and it was just her and her husband, then it sort of drifted out of my radar. I stumbled across it while flicking channels one day and she suddenly had two 10 year old daughters haha. Time sure flew by with that one.

Ah well, maybe they did. I really have a bad memory when it comes to shows I have only seen a couple of times.

I thought they always had the daughters.

They did indeed.

Now the eldest just left for college a couple episodes ago. The middle in high school... and the one that was an infant in season 1 is about 7 so she is in about 2nd grade.

I like Medium, for what's worth, but I'm really surprised it's lasted as long as it has. Part of the strength is the basic relationships, but when I watch a few episodes together that turns into a soap opera, while the actual case gets very samey.

Brilliantly made, beautifully acted, but just a bit dull...

I just finished watching the finale episode of Medium. Aired last night. I am so thankful that they knew about the cancellation early enough to give it a proper ending. And I enjoyed every second of it. Medium remains one of my favorite shows. I now have 5 of the 7 seasons... so only need to buy 2 more sets to complete the series.

It's good that it ended well.
I hate when there isn't warning before a show is canceled, so there are things left unresolved.

Me too.. and this one was done well. It seemed to take a bit of a hint on where to go from the Charmed series finale. It started in present time... then it made 2 jumps in time. One I think was something like 14 years from the present. And then again 41 years from the present.
