Somehow missed your post before, Antares. On one hand, it isn't a terrible idea. A paranoid thriller with room to go off in different directions to the original (Christopher Nolan would relish the themes of identity, for instance) and it would bear little resemblance. But they mention "teen". Christ, why does everything have to be bloody "teens". They're remaking Hellraiser too. With teens.  :suicide:

These stories don't work like that! Hell, completely original films for teen don't even work properly.

"Hey, I know lets take a classic film and remake it so the kids can identify with it."

Why don't you just sod off.  >:(

No, that's Bugsy (as in: Siegel). Bugsy Malone is a gangster film by Alan Parker, with all roles played by kids, one of them being a young Jodie Foster and the other one being Scott Baio. Not for Pete, by the way, it's a musical.

Bugsy Malone is one of my favourite musicals! I've never seen the movie of it though, but I have seen about 3 stage performances.

I've seen Bugsy, the 1991 movie about Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel that stared Warren Beatty.

Were Bugsy Malone and Bugsy Siegle the same person? That's always confused me.

No, they are very different.

Bugsy Malone is a nice guy who gets caught up in some shady things. Bugsy Siegel would be the shady thing the other one gets caught up in
