I watched thei for the first time over the weekend and I want to know something.

Why in the blue hell it's taken me so long to do so?  It's freaking awesome.

I agree!!

I like the 2nd part as well: Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day
(The 1st part is better though IMHO!)

Yeah, you're right, what took you so long?

I just bought and watched the Blu-ray recently. After having seen it the first time many years ago I thought I liked it even better this time around.

Check out the documentary Overnight which is a fantastic look at how much of a tosser director Troy Duffy is and how all the problems surrounding Boondock Saints came about. It's phenomenally up front and was filmed during the making of the movie.

Is this available online or is it a dvd?

Well, I finally got this in and the first 20 minutes or so was interesting. But then, when Rocco became a member of the triumvirate, this film became a runaway train of foolishness.

If you haven't seen it, don't waste your time, it's tenth rate Tarantino, and believe me, that's not a good thing.

That's re-assuring actually (apart from the Tarantino ref! ;)). When this film came out, I remember seeing the trailers and reviews and thinking it looked weak. In fact, no, I thought it looked awful! 19% on RT: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/boondock_saints/

So I was really confused by the love for it here and it's certainly on my radar for the first time, but your comment makes me think the world is getting back to normal.

Well, I figured I needed a reference point and with all but one of Tarantino's films being crap, tenth rate Tarantino really hits the mark.  ;) :tease:
