I'm afraid that says more about Italian politicians than about Tarantino.

You're quite right, but looking at the winners listed, it does seem that Tarantino employed a bit of nepotism though.

When was is last significant movie? 1974 with Cockfighter and besides this and Two-Lane Blacktop none of his films deserve to be seen even more to receive any prizes...
