hey everyone. my name is Chucky and im new. i love movies. i currently own around 3600. i am in love with the idea of movies more so than the tech part of them. i can never remember an actors name so its always "you know the guy with the long moustache"..but i am in love with the idea of enjoying myself for an hour and a half indulging in the lights and sounds of the fantasy world of film and being taken to diffrent parts of the world most people will never know.When i was younger my favorite movies were of the thriller/horror genre, but as ive gotten older i now lean more towards the dramatic/true story type stuff. There is nothing better to escape this world to one of someone elses dreams, nightmares, visions and virtues for that blink of an eye in our time to something caught forever on film. I do not limit myself to DVD, although that is my biggest medium now. I do still have *ugh* VHS..I also have a nice little collection of HD and Blu-Ray titles, and even around 400 or so laserdiscs. I enjoy all of these in my own home theater and NEVER will i pay to go to the theater when i could use that money to purchase 5, 6, maybe even 7 unowned masterpieces at a fleamarket or yard sale.Well this is probably more than is wanted but this is a little about my obsession..Thanks and glad to be here...CR
