Does this really surprise you? I personally haven't had any faith in FOX since I saw how they treated Tru Calling!

Too true... not to mention what they did to 'Firefly'. That show deserved better than the treatment FOX gave it. It set up the premise of a very original and creative show that could have lived up to many many seasons, only for FOX to cancel it after 1. The thing that annoys me the most is that FOX showed the episodes out of order, just becuase they felt like it. People of course then found the plot confusing...and they wonder why it got low ratings.

Completely agree! I know it isn't much comfort...  but at least we can watch these shows on DVD whenever we want.

That is true, and with Firefly the fans complained so much that we ended up with Serenity as well.

I'm hoping a similar thing will happen with TSCC as I only have a couple of episodes left to watch and don't want it to end. :(

I haven't even had the chance to pick up season 2 yet... but it is on my list to buy. But I did really enjoy season 1.

Season 2 was only released a few days ago wasn't it? So I won't blame you for that ;).
I myself have neither on DVD. I'm doing that guilty thing where I am watching downloaded episodes as I have no other means of getting it. I feel so bad about downloads though that I always end up buying the DVD, it's just sort of a way of previewing it before I do buy it. Never fear though I'm not one of those people who downloads everything and never buys it. I have friends like that and it drives me crazy.

No worries... I don't judge such things! Though I do personally agree with you on the buying also. So all good here.

Unfortunately I probably won't be able to buy much till January myself. Maybe a couple titles here and there... but that is about it. The reason for that is I can usually place a nice sized order once a month... and...

October: Halloween... big month for me... I buy pretty much all horror
November: I am a single father... and my daughter's Birthday is November... so my extra money goes there
December: Christmas... see November. :P

Haha fair enough. I would love to be able to place big orders but my DVD buying usually happens randomly, just one or two titles here and there, very spread out. Christmas and birthdays are a good time to me as I just give a (huge) list of DVD's to my Mum who passes it on to other family members with no idea about presents haha. Usually works out well. And since I'm always adding to the list it certainly gets large by Christmas time.

Oh believe me... I know all about Birthdays and Christmas... All I get is DVDs as gifts. I have even been lucky enough that 3 or 4 people I know has sent me free boxes of DVDs when they clean out there DVDs of double dips and such. Matter of fact just the other day someone sent me a package with 10 DVDs in it!

So far this year I added 177 DVDs to my collection (Boxsets counted as 1)... and out of that 177...61 of the DVDs were free!

Haha that's cool. Apart from presents I haven't really gotten any free DVD's. Although I did buy Fight Club and Psycho with a gift voucher I got from school haha. In that way its sort of like the school gave me two DVD's for free.

As this is the TSCC thread I'll have to add that I just watched the second last episode!
I don't want it to end :(

I know, everyone likes to bash Fox, but seriously, it is pretty much the only network that constantly comes up with something interesting.

Oh I agree with you that they are always coming up with some great shows... but what good is that if they are not willing to give it a far chance? They are always ready to axe a show if it isn't an instant hit. So what does this mean? For me personally it means I hate to get into any show that is from FOX because I don't know for sure it will even be there the next week.

That's the thing isn't it, FOX gives us the greats then rips it cruelly from our grasp.
