I wish I had seasons 3 and 4 to re-watch. I never miss an episode when it airs! Have you seen season 4 before? Or will the DVDs be first time seeing them?

Dexter: Season 2

1. It's Alive
Air Date: 9/30/07
In the aftermath of the death of the Ice Truck Killer, Debra makes an uneasy return to work and Dexter finds that he's "off [his] game and distracted" and unable to kill; divers make a gruesome discovery; Rita's ex asks for her help in getting out of jail.

Guest Stars:
Judith Scott as Lt. Esme Pasquale
Mark Pellegrino as Paul
Glenn Plummer as Jimmy
Devon Graye as Teenage Dexter
Max Gail as Banana Boat Tour Guide

My Thoughts:
An excellent start to the second season. Dexter is off his game and must get it back to get past his dumping ground being found. Debra is off her game... and thinks finding the serial killer from said dumping ground is how she can get back to her old self.

Haven't seen S4 yet. Unfortunately, I did run into a big spoiler regarding a main character some time ago.

I breezed through seasons 1-3 of Dexter and I'm waiting to grab S4 at a decent price.   I'll have reviews of the first 3 seasons coming up soon.

Dexter: Season 2

2. Waiting to Exhale
Air Date: 10/7/07
Little Chino strikes again, so Dexter works up another plan to nail him; the FBI sends a special agent (Keith Carradine) to work on the "Bay Harbor Butcher" case; and Debra freaks out on the job. Also, Rita confronts Dexter about his erratic and suspicious behavior.

Guest Stars:
Geoff Pierson as Captain Tom Matthews
Christian Camargo as Rudy Cooper
Judith Scott as Lt. Esme Pasquale
Keith Carradine as Special Agent Frank Lundy
Christina Robinson as Astor

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. It seems now Dexter is getting back to his old self.... Debra not so much. She is still having a very hard time with what she went through in the end of season 1.  We get our first look at Agent Lundy in this episode... though we don't know too much on him yet. Just that he is a "rock star" when it comes to catching serial killers... and he is now on Dexter's trail.

Dexter: Season 2

3. An Inconvenient Lie
Air Date: 10/14/07
Dexter deals with a smooth-talking, despicable used-car salesman who's dying to do business with him; Rita suspects Dexter has a drug problem and insists that he get into a program, which throws him into the path of a mysterious and attractive woman.

Guest Stars:
Geoff Pierson as Captain Tom Matthews
Judith Scott as Lt. Esme Pasquale
Don McManus as Roger Hicks
Jaime Murray as Lila
Keith Carradine as Special Agent Frank Lundy

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode. Rita making Dexter go to meetings helped him in ways he didn't predict. I thought the way they did that was very good. Not sure what I think of Dexter's sponsor yet... as I really don't remember her from when I originally seen this season.... and it hasn't shown too much about her yet.

Dexter: Season 2

4. See-Through
Air Date: 10/21/07
Rita's estranged mother visits and senses something is wrong with Dexter; Masuka thinks he's developed a lead in the Bay Harbor Butcher case, which has Dexter concerned; Doakes heads a murder investigation involving a military special-ops ranger; Dexter's sponsor has some unconventional ideas about helping him; Angel's interrogation of a witness crosses a line.

Guest Stars:
Geoff Pierson as Captain Tom Matthews
JoBeth Williams as Gail
Judith Scott as Lt. Esme Pasquale
Dominic Janes as Young Dexter
Keith Carradine as Special Agent Frank Lundy

My Thoughts:
Once again I enjoyed this episode. Not surprising... I don't remember ever not enjoying Dexter. In this episode Dexter continues to through the police off his track. His sponsor proves to be even weirder then we originally thought.

Dexter: Season 2

5. The Dark Defender
Air Date: 10/28/07
Dexter learns that his mother's killer is still alive. Dexter's NA sponsor, Lila (Jaime Murray), encourages him to confront the man as one of the "steps" to his recovery.

Guest Stars:
JoBeth Williams as Gail
Tony Amendola as Santos Jimenez
Jaime Murray as Lila
Keith Carradine as Special Agent Frank Lundy
Christina Robinson as Astor

My Thoughts:
While not a bad episode... I am really not enjoying the storyline of Dexter and his NA sponsor. I don't know there is just something about her that I don't care for... she is just too weird. The other storylines are moving along rather well though.
