Wonder Woman: Season 1

12. THE BUSHWHACKERS
Airdate: Jan. 29, 1977
Efforts to stop the theft of cattle needed by the army go awry, leaving Wonder Woman captive and without her magical belt. But help comes from an unexpected source: a group of war orphans turned buckaroos!

Guest Stars:
Roy Rogers as J.P. Hadley
Henry Darrow as Walter Lampkin
Lance Kerwin as Jeff Hadley
Tony George as Emmett Dawson
David Clarke as Sheriff Bodie
Writer/Director
Skip Webster - Writer
Stuart Margollin - Director

My Thoughts:
Now this episode I enjoyed. Definitely an entertaining one here. There is of course a famous guest star in this episode with Roy Rogers. This one has likable characters as well as a good, fun storyline. If there is anything I don't like about this episode it is Wonder Woman's Texan outfit... long sleeves and long pants?.... definitely covers too much!  :P

Wonder Woman: Season 1

13. WONDER WOMAN IN HOLLYWOOD
Airdate: Feb. 16, 1977
Wonder Woman and WONDER GIRL are in Tinseltown! Good thing, too, what with enemy agents kidnapping the GI heroes who are taking part in the fliming of a wartime spirit-lifter about their exploits.

Guest Stars:
Harris Yulin as Mark Bremer
Robert Hays as Corporal Jim Ames
Christopher Norris as Gloria
Charles Cyphers as Kurt
Alan Bergmann as Director
Carolyn Jones as Queen
Debra Winger as Drusilla
Writer/Director
Jimmy Sangster - Writer
Bruce Bilson - Director

My Thoughts:
Woohoo! We have another (and if I remember correctly the last) episode with Debra Winger Wonder Girl. We also have Carolyn Jones recurring her role as the Queen. This is a very fun and entertaining episode. I enjoyed every minute of it. I would have liked to of seen a little more time of them on Paradise Island though.

After watching this episode I watched a featurette on the disc. And I must say... Lynda Carter... even in her advanced age... remains a beautiful woman. It is hard to believe she is almost 60yrs old now!

Wonder Woman: Season 2

1. THE RETURN OF WONDER WOMAN
Airdate: Sept. 16, 1977
A terrorist act has one good outcome: Wonder Woman again straps on her belt and bracelets to fight evil.

Guest Stars:
Fritz Weaver as Dr. Solano
Bettye Ackerman as Asclepia
Jessica Walter as Gloria
Beatrice Straight as The Queen
David Knapp as Major Gaines
Writer/Director
Stephen Kandel - Writer
Alan Crosland - Director

My Thoughts:
This season the series moves from ABC to CBS. With this move was a lot of changes. One being making it set in the modern times of the '70s. They also added the ability for Wonder Woman to make people forget things when wrapped in her magic lasso. They improved the headband changing into a boomerang. They also made her costume a little different. Especially in the chest area... changing the eagle's wings.

They also changed The Queen of Paradise Island once again. In the pilot movie Cloris Leachman played her... in season 1 she was played by Carolyn Jones... and now in season 2 she is played by Beatrice Straight. It is a shame. I really liked Carolyn Jones in the role. Unfortunately Beatrice Straight didn't impress me all that much. I enjoyed this double length episode quite a bit. While I enjoyed the first season more then I remembered... I am glad to be into the second season.

Wonder Woman: Season 2

2. ANSCHLUSS '77
Airdate: Sept. 23, 1977
A second chance for the Third Reich? Diana (aka Wonder Woman) battles remenants of Hitler's command.

Guest Stars:
Mel Ferrer as Gerlich
Leon Charles as Von Klemper
Barry Dennen as Hitler
Kurt Kreuger as Koenig
Julio Medina as Gaitan
Writer/Director
Dallas L. Barnes - Writer
Alan Crosland - Director

My Thoughts:
Well... it didn't take long for them to do a storyline involving the Nazis again even though the setting is now in the '70s. I felt it was only an average episode. I think we would have been better off without the idea of cloning Hitler. They should have just left the whole Nazi storyline left in season 1.

3. THE MAN WHO COULD MOVE THE WORLD
Airdate: Sept. 30, 1977
A scientist's experiments in telekinesis unleash a fearsome power... aimed at Wonder Woman.

Guest Stars:
Yuki Shimoda as Ishida
Lew Ayres as Dr. Theodore Wilson
James Hong as Oshima
Alan McRae as Security Officer
J. Kenneth Campbell as Taft
Writer/Director
Judy Burns - Writer
Bob Kelljan - Director

My Thoughts:
This is an entertaining episode. I liked the story lines and the characters.  This is a story based on a misunderstanding... one that haunted a man since his childhood. I liked how they had some old Wonder Woman memorabilia in his house. It was a reminder of the kind of stuff they sold back when this series was on the air.

Wow... after going from The Incredible Hulk to Wonder Woman... I feel the need to take a break from the '70s. I need a little time with something modern for a while now.  :P

Wonder Woman: Season 2

4. THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE CRISIS

Guest Stars:
Charles Cioffi as Manta
Beatrice Straight as The Queen
Herman Poppe as The Sergeant
Barry Hamilton as Radarman
Larry Golden as Lt Mansfield
Writer/Director
Calvin Clements, Jr - Writer
Seymour Robbie - Director

My Thoughts:
As you can see from the last picture below... this is the first appearance of her swimming outfit. I personally would have rather seen a red, white and blue bikini... but what can you do? :P

It is not a bad episode... but not one of my favorites either. I just couldn't get myself to care about the characters and storyline on this one. I would say it is just an average episode.

How could I possible not watch some episodes knowing today is Lynda Carter's birthday? I enjoyed this episode. It is a little on the slow side... and very story oriented. But it is an interesting story. And I liked the characters involved.

Wonder Woman: Season 2

6. THE PIED PIPER
Airdate: Oct. 21, 1977
There's money in the music biz, A rock god uses hypnosis to control his entourage of thieving groupies.

Guest Stars:
Martin Mull as Hamlin Rule
Denny Miller as Carl Schwartz
Eve Plumb as Elena
Bob Hastings as Gatekeeper
George Cooper as Manager Amos Hoffman
Writer/Director
David Ketchum - Writer
Tony DiMarco - Writer
Brian McKay - Writer
Alan Crosland - Director

My Thoughts:
This is actually one of my least favorite episodes. Obviously I don't like all the music in it. Plus the storyline don't do much for me. Martin Mull's character seemed little more then silly to me. But I did like the whole change to Wonder Woman by the spinning chair thing. But I must say... even in these bad episodes it is a pleasure to watch Lynda Carter running around in that Wonder Woman costume! In this one... Joe Atkin's daughter is played by none of then Eve Plumb.... Jan on The Brady Bunch.

Guest Stars:
Juliet Mills as Queen Kathryn
David Hedison as Evan Robley

I liked this one... but think the storyline could have been tweaked to be a little better. But I did really like the scene where Wonder Woman was hung upside down by her magic lasso to get to the safe she had to get into.
