It's funy because here in Quebec, Canada Day equals National Moving Day. Almost all appartment rental contracts expire on July 1st and thus a LOT of people are moving this very day. As a result, not too many festivities ;)

---

In any case, I did take the day off so - Happy Birthday Canada! Hope to see you around for a long time!

Last year I went to a party on the beach on Canada Day (here in Taiwan; yes, there is a lot Canadians here). This year it kind of surprised me

Have a great Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!
We have an Australia Day in summer over here but it really translates to 'national BBQ Day'.  :P

I don't celebrate this one, since the Quebec day is the week before and without being political I care more for our province than for the federal country (even more when a colonial vestige like the queen is here doing a lot of hand waiving and we must pay a fortune for that).

I agree with you Jimmy but honestly, what they're gonna spend on the old fart is nothing compared to the 1.1 billions we just wasted to end up arresting hundreds of innocent people with no regards for their rights.

I do wish a happy canada day to those who care.

I think they did a good job on that, those people are troublemakers and don't care about anything but looting (they should be arrested and prosecuted under the anti-terrorist law, since it's what they are and not the poor peacefull manifestant that our media want to make us believe...). See how those anarchist didn't succeed this year at breaking everything...
