The Incredible Hulk: Season 4

13. THE FIRST: Part 2
Airdate: Mar. 13, 1981
It's the ultimate battle of good versus evil as the Hulk faces off against the creature that holds the secret of the antidote he so desperately needs.

Guest Stars:
Edward Walsh
Cliff Emmich
Billy Green Bush
Dick Durock

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed the second part as much as I did the first. The showdown between The Hulk and the other creature was well done. This 2-part episode remains a favorite of the entire series... which is something that can seldomly be said about an episode of a show in it's 4th season.

The Incredible Hulk: Season 4

14. THE HARDER THEY FALL
Airdate: Mar. 27, 1981
Paralyzed from the waist down after an auto accident, David must rely on the Hulk to stop a dangerous bank heist.

Guest Stars:
Denny Miller
Peter Hobbs
Diane Shalet
William Bogert
Joe Dorsey

My Thoughts:
This is another good episode. I really enjoyed the storyline. Having David seriously injured for a while almost felt like a new idea to the same old storyline. Made it a little refreshing after 4 seasons of the series. Even if you did already know how it would work itself out. Of course just to be safe they flashed back to the pilot movie to remind people that The Hulk has a much faster and better healing rate.

The Incredible Hulk: Season 4

15. INTERVIEW WITH THE HULK
Airdate: Apr. 3, 1981
Another intrepid reporter outmaneuvers McGee, and now the Hulk faces exposure from two men willing to do anything to get the scoop.

Guest Stars:
Michael Conrad
Walter Brooke
Jan Sterling
David Carlile
Lynn Seibel

My Thoughts:
This one is nothing more then a clip show. But I do like how they did it... with David finding someone he believed he was able to talk to... and get it all out for a change.

16. HALF NELSON
Airdate: Apr. 17, 1981
It's a small world after all when David befriends a dwarf wrestler, but the man's tall tales could get David into some major trouble with the mob.

Guest Stars:
Tommy Madden
H. B. Haggerty
Paul Henry Itkin
David Himes
Joey Forman

My Thoughts:
This episode is ok... not a favorite. But I must admit... it was kind of fun seeing The Hulk in the wrestling ring.

The Incredible Hulk: Season 4

17. DANNY
Airdate: May 15, 1981
David gets trapped with some conniving thieves when he and the Hulk step in to protect a young man, woman and child from her abusive in-laws.

Guest Stars:
Don Stroud
Bruce Wright
Taylor Lacher
Robin Dearden
Art LaFleur

My Thoughts:
Pretty good episode... really just a filler. Though there was one thing in this one you don't see often. At least I don't remember seeing it in any of the previous episodes. One of the times David turns into The Hulk... you don't see his eyes turn first.

18. PATTERNS
Airdate: May 22, 1981
There's a major flaw in the story of a garment factory owner who claims David is his business partner, and it's up to the Hulk to deal with the loan sharks who come calling for cash.

Guest Stars:
Eddie Barth
Laurie Heineman
Joshua Shelley
Paul Marin
Robert O'Reilly

My Thoughts:
The subject of this story didn't interest me as much as most episodes. But it turned out pretty good. Really just no more then an average episode.

Well... that brings me to the end of the 4th Season! Now there is only one more very short (7 episodes) season... plus the 3 reunion movies to go. I am so close to finishing up this thread!

The Incredible Hulk: Season 5

1. THE PHENOM
Airdate: Oct. 2, 1981
A corrupt sports agent gets a taste of the Hulk, when he messes with a young baseball player who has befriended David Banner.

Guest Stars:
Brett Cullen
Anne Lockhart
Dick O'Neill
Ken Swofford

My Thoughts:
A decent episodes... but I kind of expected a little more for the first episode of a new season. I did however get a kick out of the part where the baseball team's mascot came face to face with The Hulk.

The Incredible Hulk: Season 5

2. TWO GODMOTHERS
Airdate: Oct. 9, 1981
David Banner gets mixed up with three escapees from a women's institution. But can even the Hulk help when one of the convicts goes into labor?

Guest Stars:
Kathleen Nolan
Suzanne Charny
Sandra Kerns
Gloria Gifford
Penny Peyser

My Thoughts:
Another good episode... but still it seems like something is just a bit off about these last couple episodes. Maybe it is the whole season 5 thing... and the reason it only lasted 7 episodes. But so far while enjoyable... they fall short from really being impressive episodes.

3. VETERAN
Airdate: Oct. 16, 1981
When a Vietnam veteran aims to assassinate a politician, David Banner puts his own life at risk to stop him.

Guest Stars:
Paul Koslo
Bruce Gray
Wendy Girard
William Boyett
Richard Yniguez

My Thoughts:
This one here I had a bit of trouble getting into. An ok story... but nothing more. So far it has been pretty sad watching this final season of a series that I loved so much as a kid. I am just finding I am not caring about the characters or storylines as much as I have in the past seasons.

David Banner disguises himself as a clergyman to help an immigrant from the clutches of people traffickers.

Guest Stars:
Diana Muldaur

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed the storyline and characters a little more this time. Though it still isn't up there par with the other seasons. But it is definitely better then the last episode.

The Incredible Hulk: Season 5

5. TRIANGLE
Airdate: Nov. 13, 1981
Banner competes with a local lumber baron for the affections of a young lady.

Guest Stars:
Peter Mark Richman
Charles Napier
Mickey Jones
Andrea Marcovicci
Lewis Arquette

My Thoughts:
This one is more like it... this feels more like The Hulk that I am used to! It is a shame there was such a run of bad episodes right at the beginning of the season. That surely had something to do with the cancellation so early into the season.

6. SLAVES
Airdate: May 5, 1982
Captured and imprisoned, David Banner is forced to work as a slave in a gold mine.

Guest Stars:
John Hancock
Charles Tyner
Jeffrey Kramer
Faye Grant

My Thoughts:
It was pretty cool seeing Faye Grant (Greatest American Hero) in this episode. Matter of fact this if from just after her role on Greatest American Hero. Once again... really enjoyed this episode. Seems like they are getting their stride back... but it was just too late to save the series.

7. A MINOR PROBLEM
Airdate: May 12, 1982
Having arrived in a deserted town, Banner finds himself racing against the clock when he becomes exposed to a deadly bacteria.

Guest Stars:
Nancy Grahn
Linden Chiles
Lisa Jane Persky
Gary Vinson
Xander Berkeley

My Thoughts:
Another good episode. Liked the story and characters. Glad the series ended on an episode I enjoyed. After the episode I watched the gag reel included in this set. Going by this gag reel... it looked like Bill Bixby was really a trip to work with.... looked like he was always having fun and goofing off a bit.
