I thought we could put in a single thread all the announcement we find interesting.

Personally I'll be on the lookout mostly for Xbox360 announcements, but feel free to post anything E3 related you find interesting.

Kinect: Star Wars - too bad Kinect (formerly Project Natal) will be so expensive - this looks like it could be really interesting!

Considering Sony is coming out with the Move stuff too, get ready to see a whole lotta motion control crap.

At least, some gems seem to be slipping through!

The demonstration from Assassins Creed Brotherhood was very cool indeed. The gameplay footage was so exciting that it made me wish I had the game right now. What I am really looking forward to though is The Last Gaurdian, I really hope Sony have some new info on that one.

All this motion capture stuff is like gaming for non-gamers. I think gamers will get bored of it very quickly and want their normal controllers back. All of the best games still seem to be using normal controllers though so at least that is good.

I am open to add Move to my PS3, but so far I am missing the incentive to do so (like, a good game it makes sense for).

Fallout 4 has me excited as well. You heard about the "realism mode"? In which everything will have weight,m including bottle caps and ammo?

I just found out that if I want to watch the Sony conference stream live I will have to be up at 5 in the morning haha. Not likley! Downloading it through PSN is starting to sound very convincing.

Fallout 4? You mean New Vegas? Or another upcoming Fallout down the line?

Realism mode makes sense. If you had 100,000 bottle caps in a pouch, that pouch would be quite heavy, not to mention really big too! I just hope it's not too limiting, or that the gameplay will be adjusted in consequence. I don't want to have to revisit places 25 times just to get all the loot back home and/or sold.

First off, it's a mode, meaning you can turn it on or off. Supposedly there'll be an achievement though, so you might have to play through the story like that once, maybe. Anyway, I guess that would be what it means, running back and forth a lot, making distinct decisions what weapons to take when venturing into the wastelands and how much ammo to bring. I understand it's real hardcore (and IIRC that is what it's actually called).

From IGN.com:
Quote
Hardcore Mode
There's a funny argument against Fallout 3 that goes something like this: Once you reach the level cap the game is too easy. Or, as I like to put it, once you have created a badass character he's too much of a badass. Well, for all of you people that were simply too good at Fallout 3, meet Hardcore Mode.

This new level of difficulty being added for Fallout: New Vegas is for anybody that loves a challenge. It may as well be called Realism Mode. Everything has weight, even ammunition. You'll have to eat food and drink water regularly to stay alive. Stimpacks won't heal instantly, so you won't be able to spam them in the midst of a fight. And if you break a bone, you'll need a doctor and some bed rest to heal it.

Sounds rather punishing to me, but I'm sure there will be some folks out there that will accept the challenge.

So, hm, maybe no playthrough required.
