I can't even imagine what it will take to continue with the fantasy of movie making in another 50 or 60 years.

Yours is known as a country that wears its heart on its sleeves, so it's no surprise that the Hollywood machine churns out extravagant blockbusters time after time, but its more interesting to see how the bad times influence artists as well. I don't think it's an accident that the most challenging Horrors, not to mention Dirty Harry, were released around the time of Vietnam.
