In the genre Martial Arts...

In the television series Kung Fu, Kwai Chang Caine is tutored by two Shaolin priests, one played Keye Luke, the other by Philip Ahn. What were their character names?

I loved it too. I watched it as it aired and bought the box sets as soon as they came out. My niece and nephews have been watching it with me so a new generation can "take the pebble from my hand".

Did you know that it was developed for, and was promised to, Bruce Lee to star in the starring role?

Not according to David Carradine...

I'll have to research it a bit. I don't remember if it was in a book, interview or whatever.

I shouldn't because it's cruel...but...I...can't...resist...

I wouldn't trust David Carradine's memory...he kept cutting off the circulation to his brain.

In the film Dragon, they make a real big play about the Kung Fu thing, fully subscribing to the idea that Lee developed it. On the other hand, you have...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kung_Fu_%28TV_series%29#Bruce_Lee.27s_claims

And right the other side is Carradine's take on the audition that Lee supposedly had.

I think if you throw it all together and find the middle ground, I believe Lee developed something (martial artist in Western setting is very broad) and promises were made. Meanwhile, studios being what they are, did they simply go and find their own version and push Lee out?

But I happen to agree with the tone of that interview. Whatever the reasons behind the show, Lee wouldn't have been such a success if he had done it.

In the film The Blair Witch Project, what was the name of the Maryland town where the film took place?
