I found the answer on the internet, but I won't post it.

Maybe if no-one gets it in a certain amount of time you should pat yourself on the back for having stumped everyone and post a new one!   :surrender:

In the movie Meteor the russian nuclear missile satellite was called "Peter the Great". Maybe they did the same here?

"Peter the Great"?

Incorrect, the answer was Guardian.

Same genre, Science Fiction...

In District 9, the prawns can easily be distracted by tossing them their favorite type of food. What kind of food do the alien prawns crave?

In the genre Anime...

What is the name of the flying island in Miyazaki's Castle in the Sky?

Oh, and I should let everyone who chooses Anime know, I have zero knowledge of this genre, so I'm going to have a very difficult time coming up with questions for those who choose it.

See, this is what I mean, I thought the name of the island was Laputa and that's the answer I was looking for.  :-[

In my eyes, you're correct and get a point.

In the genre Thriller...

In Fail-Safe, after one of the United States bombers mistakenly drops a hydrogen bomb, completely destroying Moscow, the president orders an American city destroyed in the same manner to avert a Russian total retaliation. What city does the president nuke?

:thanks: Antares. I just checked on wikipedia and what you was after was correct Laputa was the name of the Island and the Castle. It is too many years since I last watched this and my memory got confuzzled, although there is a connection to Lilliput deatiled in the wiki entry as in Jonathon Swift's Gullivers Tales there is a floating island called Laputa.
