In the genre Musicals...

In the 1955 musical It's Always Fair Weather, Gene Kelly, Michael Kidd and Dan Dailey play G.I.s who have just returned from overseas. After getting very drunk in a host of bars, they step out into the street and do a dance routine. During the routine, they each place a unique household object on one of their feet. This object is most prevalent on the sidewalks of any city, what is it?

What made me give it to her was the fact that at one point they actually jump into the trash cans. So to be fair, I felt she should be awarded the point.
