My Thoughts:

Hrithik Roshan did a great job playing a paralized man. Usually he is a very physical actor. The story is very emotional with his wish to seek to get euthanasia approved from the court.
This movie is directed by the same man as "Black", another great movie.

My Thoughts:

I enjoyed it more than I expected. I bought this when I saw that Amitabh Bachcan is playing the Genie.
The movie is about a boy named Aladin, who was growing up being teased about his name. But one day he really finds a lamb with a Genie. The special effects were surprisingly well done. I expected them to be cheaper.

It is based on a true story and I believe it won the Academy Award for best foreign film.

My Thoughts:

What a boring movie. I just couldn't stay focused on it. I popped it in, after I just couldn't make up my mind what to watch and I crabbed the first thing on my unwatched pile which wasn't a series.
The main problem probably was, that I expected a different kind of movie.

My Thoughts:

Growing up, Tim Burton's Batman had shown me for the first time the more serious Batman. Before this I only knew the 60s Batman (which I loved to watch).
Michael Keaton doesn't seem like the obvious choice to play Batman, but he did a great job. Though I still think he doesn't have the physique to really be believable as a tough Batman. But he got the mannerism down.
Jack Nicholson as the Joker was for a long time the definitive Joker until Heath Ledger came along. But I think we should not forget Nicholson's portrayal of him.
I still can't believe how fast Alfred decided to "rat" Bruce Wayne's secret out to Vicki Vale.
This disc is part of the Blu-ray collection of the first four films. It is a double-dip for me. I owned it previously on DVD. I hesitated for awhile, because I was not sure if it was worth it. But I got the set for £9.99 which made the choice easy. Also my old set was a bare bones release. In this Blu-ray set, all four movies have a lot of bonus material.

My Thoughts:

Batman Returns is a good movie, but I don't like it as much as the first one. Burton's style was there way too much. Danny DeVito was good, but I think that the focus is way too much on Penguin instead of Batman. I also really enjoyed Catwoman.
This movie feels too much like a Tim Burton movie instead like a Batman movie.

My Thoughts:

I only ever played the first Tomb Raider came for a few minutes. Never saw the others. I think they captured the video game world fairly well. Lara Croft seems like she just jumped out of a video game. If you want an over-the-top brainless action movie, this one isn't so bad. I enjoyed it.

My Thoughts:

I know that I am not in the majority here, but I like this movie. It is not as good as the first one, but it is more fun. It's my favorite of the old Batman movies. It is a good balance between dark and serious and campy fun. Refreshing after the second movie which took itself too seriously.
Although I don't like Val Kilmer's Bruce Wayne. But he did a good job as Batman.

My Thoughts:

I treaded watching it, but I had to finish off my new Batman boxset. If you do not consider this movie part of the previous Batman movies, but as a movie version of the old Batman series from the 60s, you may find some enjoyment in it.
The acting is bad, especially by Uma Thurman. George Clooney is an okay Batman, but all the brooding is gone from Bruce Wayne. This is not a Dark Knight.
The use of Batgirl feels forced in. Nothing against Alicia Silverstone, but she didn't fit here.
There are also some little things which bother me. Like why is the new Batmobile with an open driver's seat, when Batman would have been killed in all the previous movies, if it were for the protected drivers seat? Further proof that it takes the old TV series as a guideline.
