Say what you want about Fallon, but he sure is one lucky bastard to have been able to play it.
Oh hell yes. While the TV version showed him play mere seconds, I could imagine he got to play the full demo backstage.

FWIW, I don't really know Fallon otherwise, only from such little clips when he is presenting such newly announced games

Loving the new look Lara Croft. About time they brought her back (with an awesome new look to boot). The tiny amount of female leads in video games is something that has been constantly bothering female gamers for well... ever. Seeing Croft come back is an amazing step forward. Especially as the developers have said they are going to tone down her sexuality this time compared to other games and focus more on her character and how she has been rebooted. This is a very positive step.

And really... how f**king kick ass is that! Complete with bow and all.

That's cool, I love how they even do the 1940's hair styles before filming it.

Wow, I cannot wait for the Mass Effect 2 PS3 release after reading this article. http://au.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/masseffect2workingtitle/news.html?sid=6285464&om_act=convert&om_clk=picks&tag=picks;story;1&mode=previews

It looks great, and it seems the added bonus of blu-ray for PS3 will even enhance some of the quality of the game. It's also cool to see that added feature of the motion comic that will act as the first game did, so we can still technically make decisions that carry on into ME2 without playing ME1 (which I've heard was a pretty bad game anyway).

I have a copy of the first Mass Effect. I bought it two years ago, still haven't touched it.

ME1 (which I've heard was a pretty bad game anyway).

What?? Who said that? It's the same as ME2.. If anything, ME1 is the better game because ME2 has been way toned down.

It was a friend of mine who is a massive Xbox360 fanboy and gamer. He told me that ME1 was basically a pretty shit game and that ME2 dwarfs it completely.   I've obviously not played it, but that was just his opinion of it, it probably is a good game, I personally don't even like the guy and he tends to judge things harshly. But really so far his is the only opinion I have heard of ME1.

Also, I found this on youtube.

Wow, that's an early review :o

Well, the game has gone gold, so not delays are to be expected

I am looking forward to this too, although it shares a time slot with Dead Space 2, which I am highly anticipating as well :stars:

Achim that's not a review, that's a 'preview'. It's just showing us what it will look like and what all the extra features etc on PS3 will be.

Since Microsoft wouldn't let them release the first game on PS3 as well they have basically converted the first game into a 15-minute comic style story in which we can watch and make decisions that carry on into the game, just like the first one only without actually playing it.

I really don't see how someone can ditch ME1 as being so inferior to ME2.. unless they are a huge shooter fan and the RPG elements bugged him. Because really, that's all Mass Effect is. A conversation simulator with a great story, that happens to be a shooter with RPG elements slapped on it.

Don't get me wrong! I still think the game is awesome! But, the main difference between both games? ME1 is more of a RPG (more stats to manager, etc.) and ME2 is more of a shooter (way toned down RPG - less skills, more powerful powers, etc.) but still an awesome story.

And you'll have a treat with ME2 rendered by the ME3 engine! The graphics were already great! So making them even better with a new engine?

Miranda on the newer engine? :drooling:

As I said, they guy who did say the ME1 sucks is a bit of a douchebag and I generally don't like him. He however is the only person that I have spoken to about the series and that is what he told me. In general he has a pretty high opinion of himself and thinks he knows everything so I would actually like to think he is completely wrong about the game.

 Easy thing to misread. Especially just at a glance.
