No Heroics: Series One (£13.43 at Amazon.co.uk)
Seems to be similar to the movie "The Specials" and I really enjoyed that one.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (€12.97 at Amazon.de)
The price has dropped on this one. I haven't seen it yet.
Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (€8.95 at Amazon.de)
Another movie with Rani Mukerji.

Let me know if your suspicion was correct. I really like No Heroics and might want to add The Specials if that is indeed more of the same.

I had a pre-order for a TV Series for late in the month this month (wouldn't arrived till next month)... but I wanted to concentrate more on horror this month and next month. So I decided to cancel that pre-order and order some new horror movies out of what I selected earlier for next month. Giving me a little more money to play with next month as well.

So I just ordered...

Mortuary Madness: 50 Movie Set
I wanted to be sure to fit this one in... after reading all those overviews yesterday. I know that they are probably all cheesy as hell... but 50 movies for only $15. It is as my friend Tammy said... if there is only 1 movie out of the 50 that I like it will be worth it. And the rest I can look at as freebies anyway.

Brotherhood of Blood
I picked this movie for 2 reasons. First it is a Vampire movie. And you all know I love me some vampires! Second it stars Victoria Pratt. I liked her in 2 TV Series. (Mutant X and Cleopatra 2525) So I had to grab this!

I know what you are thinking Jimmy... What about Black Christmas! Well... don't worry I have not forgotten. For some odd reason I am really wanting to have that 50 movie boxset here early (before Oct. 1st) so I can watch some cheese early. And I just didn't have enough money left in my budget to get it and Black Christmas together. But it is already in my cart waiting for me to order it on my next payday (Oct. 2nd). Now you hurry up with those profiles for that 50 movie boxset!

Damn I am pissed! I just went back to Columbia House to check on the progress of my order and both Angel Heart and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans are now Back Ordered! Hopefully they won't be for too long. I was hoping to watch Rise of the Lycans on the first day of my Marathon!

I know... what am I complaining about... I still have a good month before I can watch them... but back orders always have worried me.  :P

Well... at least the 2 horror TV Shows (The Hunger & Blood Ties) shipped and should be here probably about middle of next week.

Not too bad... 3 days on back order... and now it is saying that it is processing again. So I should have them in plenty of time for my marathon!  ;D

Finally!... I finally got an email stating that those free DVDs shipped. And the email says they shipped 3 days ago! They definitely don't believe in prompt notices over there!  :P So anyway... both Angel Heart and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans are on their way.

But this has reminded me why I seldomly use Columbia House!

And the day I get the shipment notice... the package arrives. I now have the above movies to add to my marathon next month!

Pleased to advise that in 3 months I have reduced my collection down from 5700 to 5085, selling, giving away, and in a couple of cases binning.
Very near to my target to be below 5000 by year end.
To celebrate I bought and ordered a couple more titles  :slaphead:

:o
I was not aware you were one of the guys with such a big collection. 5000...i don't even want to begin to imagine the size of the unwatched pile... Congratulations on the successful downsizing.

I should get rid of (binning) the early stuff I bought here in Asia, mainly because of being crappy releases; they are mostly purchased at decent sources... I might get down to nearly 1000 again.

Yes I have collected since day 1, was the first person i know to own a dvd player and shudder to think how much I paid for it!
I am culling a lot of titles that were purchased when kids were growing up, nieces visiting, ex-wife, previous interests etc etc.
As I am happy with my storage solution it is not an 'im running out of room' issue, purely a slimming down operation and the extra monies generated from sales has been welcome. First to go has been a lot of music dvds, younger kids films, and 'female' targetted soaps.
Next may be the few anime I have, as I just can't warm to them  :tomato:

Just arrived...

Brotherhood of Blood

This is the worst torture of all... a new vampire movie that I can't watch for about another 2 weeks!
