 Maybe because I never seen the original film? I have noticed in the past when you see a remake before seeing the original you can appreciate it for what it is more then you could if you seen the original first.

A friend of mine on another forum reminded me of another movie I was meaning to order this month... so one last DVD ordered... but this has to be it for this month!

Theater Of Blood
Vincent Price delivers a thrilling "tour-de-force" ('Variety') performance as a small-time actor plotting big-time revenge-in inventively Shakespearean ways! Boasting a topnotch supporting cast, this dramatically "delicious concoction" ('New York') delivers an "equal mixture of horror, comedy and Shakespeare [that'll] please just about everyone - critics included" ('Boxoffice') and proves that all the world really is a stage-for MURDER!

Madhouse
Masters Of macabre Vincent Price, Peter Cushing and Robert Quarry give performances to die for in this "diverting little chiller" ('Boxoffice')! When horror star Paul Toombes' fiancee is brutally killed, he loses more than his job... he loses his mind. But twelve years later, when he returns to TV - only to discover a fresh batch of corpses - Paul finally begins to understand that melodrama can be murder on your career!

Theater of Blood has been recommended to me multiple times by multiple people. I been meaning to check it out for some time now. I never even heard of Madhouse. anyone here know that one? worth it?

Theater of Blood is a great movie and my favourite Vincent Price movie. The only thing I know about Madhouse is that Linda Hayden is in it and everything she is in is worth watching. I lover her, she's a pretty beautifull British woman

No way. If it looks like crap, smells like crap and walks like crap, chances are... it's crap! :hysterical: I had seen the original before the remake, but I know people who saw it without even knowing it was a remake and still wanted to tear their own eyes out rather than risk seeing it again. It's horrendous reputation proves that's the general idea too: 4.5 at IMDB; 17% at RottenTomatoes. Obviously the core story has some merit because it's essentially the same, so I would have been more generous if it wasn't a remake. However I don't take kindly to being bludgeoned by afilm so the simmering hatred would still have kicked in!

Forbidden Kingdom: had it's moments but is very much aimed at the kiddie market.

I've seen 1 or 2 episodes before and loved them. I've been meaning to buy the series for a while, but price has always been on the prohibitive side of things. I finally found it at a mroe decent price, so I bought it on the spot! ;)

As your well into your marathon, did these make it to your shelf or straight into the player? I have done that once. Got home one night, found a parcel, opened it and thought I might as well watch it!
