Hey thanks guys, I'll have a play with this tomorrow.
This will make me keep my PHPdvdprofiler up to date!

Just make sure you browse through the items you've added, so that DVD Profiler generates the thumbnails.

I have a tendency to just scan in the UPC of my new purchases, and then sync right away with phpdvdprofiler. Not good. Because at that time, the thumbnails aren't generated, and will not show up. So I've taken the habit of doing a "regenerate thumbnails" (or whatever it's called) before actually doing the sync.

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning ($20.31 at DVD Pacific)
I liked the first two movies.
Pushing Daisies: Season One ($21.99 at DVD Pacific)
Only saw the first episode so far and I did like it.
Wings: Season Seven ($27.09 at DVD Pacific)
Almost complete now.
Cheers: Season Ten ($27.09 at DVD Pacific)
A great series. And almost complete now.
Tin Man ($13.24 at DVD Pacific)
I like Zooey Deschanel. How bad can it be?
Waiting for Guffman ($12.71 at DVD Pacific)
Another Christopher Guest movie.
The Big Bang Theory: Season One ($22.21 at DVD Pacific)
For obvious reasons.

The Big Lebowski: 10th Anniversary Edition
R1-US, Universal (Sep 09, 2008)

Never seen it (not sure if I should admit that).
Watch this one first
Agreed. One of my favourite comedies and really quotable. It's about the only film where I can bring the odd line into normal conversation...

Meh. Not that it is bad, but... yep, "meh" covers it.

It is of course entirely possible that you simply don't like it, but I would strongly suggest you watch it again to be really sure. First time I saw it, I liked it in a rather polite manner, but I didn't think it was memorable. Second time and ever since it just clicked into place and I now love it! Damn, I'm tempted to put it on right now.

I even found some parts annoying first time around, but... "The Dude abides". I now think of that last line almost like the old cowboy is inviting you back. In fact, the viewer is represented by that cowboy and that rather bemused but friendly attitude he has is exactly how I feel toward the film.

"It's got f***ing papers, Dude."

There is this guy on YouTube who does great re-enactments of movie scenes where he plays all the characters himself.
His "Big Lebowski" is one of my favorites of his re-enactments.

I agree with you 100%. "Meh" does cover it quite well.
Sorry everyone but I fail to see what everyone else saw in this movie that would make rate anything above "moderatly entertaining". I know there are many fans.....I just havn't figured out why?

Not anytime soon. There's a reason (better: gut instinct), why I hadn't seen it up until now. Most of the time, those instincts are right. Anyway, I might elaborate on the "meh" tomorrow, if I find the time. Unfortunately, I'm currently so busy that I'm glad if I can fit in a movie between work and sleep. Ordering my thoughts in a readable fashion is a task I'm not up to right now.

Just as there must have been an instinct to watch it anyway! ;) Maybe it'll creep up on you again one day and you'll enjoy it more. Or turn it into a coaster. Some films need a second chance to work properly though; Citizen Kane is my regular example of that. Mind you, just as many people I persuaded to watch that twice who came to love it, went away hating me as much as the damn film!

   The Long Goodbye (1973)
R1-US MGM (2002)

The Dude didn't do it for me. Let's see if I like Altman's take on Chandler better.

In den Tag hinein (DE 2001, AKA Days Between)
R2-DE Filmgalerie 451 (Jun 20, 2008)

One of my favorite "Berlin School" films, starring the great Sabine Timoteo (L'amour, Free Will).

   Day Night Day Night (2006)
R1-US IFC Films (Oct 2, 2007)

Stumbled on this completely by accident. The photos and the trailer were captivating, so I immediately ordered the DVD.

Looking forward to hearing your comments on this. I just noticed it in Empires Top 500 and hadn't really paid attention before, but some of their comments really made me want to see it.
