Ebola Syndrome with Anthony Wong (he's a good) by Hermann Yau looks kind of interesting. Looking forward to read your review, once you get around seeing it.

I was interested by this other one directed by Herman Yau too

But the price (it's OOP), make me run ...

150$ is a little bit costly for a blind buy, even if the movie looks interesting

Edit : but I didn't look yet if it is available on another code zone, so maybe I will be able to have it for a descent price

The Untold Story...

I remember seeing that a while back; I may still have a VCD of the film. Don't remember too much, but the theme is similar to The Last Supper and Dumplings, as you probably already know. I was not highly impressed at the time, but it's more your line of movies, so chances are you'll like it more. (I may like it more now if I watched it again.)

I quickly checked some online retailers from R3, but none of those seem to have an appropriate version available (found one in full screen and without English, or even any, subtitles). But I only looked at few, you may have more luck with others.

Ya_shin I've found it, but it looks too good to be true.
Tai Seng Entertainment. They look like the company that have release it and have the exclusive right for this title. But like I just said something look weird, the price is only 11.96$ not that I don't like a good deal but ...

Do you have any previous order experience with them?

Untold Story

Thanks for the help

Tai Seng is an importer of Asian DVDs; they usually adjust the cover art a little but, mainly to slap their logo somewhere. The DVD quality varies a lot, but I suppose it depends on the source (I have a few from them).

I have, however, always purchased DVDs from Tai Seng in stores (like Tower records) and no experience with ordering from them. But given they are an "official distributor" I'd personally give it a go (:fingerchew:).

Thanks. I will make an order next mounth (my DVD budget for this one is already reach), like you have said it's not a big risk if they are the distributor and sell in store. Maybe the price is high on Amazon, because the sellers hope that the buyer will not try other place since it's OOP (what it's not the case, since nothing tell that on Tai Seng).

They seems to have a lot of good stuff. I think that I will have some fun there  ;D

I stopped making such promises to myself, they usually backfire  (Last year I wanted to cut down on purchases and it eventually turned out to be the year with the most purchases so far :bag:).

Yeah.. I also stopped patting myself on the back for not purchasing anything for a few weeks.. It recently backfired, big time! I had not ordered or bought anything since Dec 26, 2007. Right, as it stands, I've received the order I previously posted about (8 titles) and currently have 90 on order.  :heat:

I know that, too. But I've spent 250€ in january alone. And in ten days there is a movie exchange in Ludwigsburg and I know I will spend at least 100€ there...

PS: I should have never started to keep an account of what I'm spending on DVDs, then I wouldn't have this problem!  :bag:

Yes, indeed! Well, it's The Criterion Collection, can't usually go wrong there. They both look great and also are both excellent films. Also have a boat load of extras each (many of them are essays displayed on screen, which I find a little hard to go through at times). The Killers in particular made me hungry for more Film Noir; I will have to get some more of those in the future.

I highly enjoy the Academy Awards marathon. As I already watched most of the newer films which fit the category I get the chance to pick up on some of the unwatched old films in my collection.

Called to buy some Tobasco Sauce on my way from the gym and thought to myself I'll just have a little nose at what's on the shelves.

I did quite well. Only bought one DVD.

ÆON FLUX for £3.00

My first purchase since the Deepdiscount order at the start of this thread. ;D

Yeah I know.. But two orders taking advantage of a 25 for 100$ sales will do that, easily.

Oh and I should mention that I looked too fast, and it's 90 profiles on order (it counted each individual items within the boxsets as well as the boxset itself). In actual titles bought, the number is more like 64. All anime titles!  ;D

Oh, that's much better than :hysterical:

No, seriously, if there was a 25 for $100 sale and you found like 50 titles you want, I'd have done the same.
