I couldn't hold out any longer. My new years resolution of no buying early on in the year failed early on, but to be fair, this is the best I've ever done. 8 days!

Never heard of Eighteen but the cast looks good. Sir Ian McKellen, Carly Pope, Alan Cumming etc. Some reasonable reviews and a penny for a used copy (plus £1.26 postage) it would be rude not to.

Just got these two:

Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (2005/Japan)
It is 1923 in Munich. Two years have passed since Edward Elric's sacrifice ripped him out of his world and into ours, separating him from his younger brother, Alphonse. In that time, Ed's continued research into rocketry has allied him with Alphons Heiderich, a fellow researcher who oddly resembles Ed's brother. Progress has been slow, however, and Ed has become discouraged. But when he saves a quiet Gypsy girl with the power to read minds, Ed is quickly pulled into a plot by the Thule Society and the burgeoning Nazi Party that could drag both worlds into a terrible war.

Back in his own world, Al has been unlocking new secrets of Alchemy and gaining incredible powers, all in the hopes of finding Ed.

Battling the occult, ideological extremists, and monstrous Homunculi lurking in the shadows, can the brothers find a way to reunite without causing chaos and bloodshed? What will happen when the world of alchemy and the world of modern science collide?

(Getting the DVD was my 3rd time watching it. A lot of people advise against watching it because the first series was so far off with manga-continuity and the Elrics being at the start of WWII is kinda cruddy, but I rather liked it. You have to admit, it's an interesting situation. And considering where the manga was where the first anime started I'd say the writers/producers did fairly well with what they had. I like to say I like FMA and FMA: Brotherhood equally but in different ways.)

Ouran High School Host Club Live Action Movie (2012/Japan)
Ouran Academy is a prestigious school with most students coming from wealthy families. One of the few students who comes from a modest background is Haruhi Fujioka (Haruna Kawaguchi). Through unexpected circumstances, Haruhi Fujioka ends up joining the male "host club", while hiding her gender. Friendship and love grows between Haruhi Fujioka and the male "host club" members.

(Loved the anime, thought the live action series was really funny, so I had to get my hands on the live action movie. I was confused by some details in the packaging as this was my first totally foreign DVD; Dad is pretty convinced that I bought a bootleg copy, but after extensive research on the internet I'd say it's a legit release. I'm tempted to submit my profiler information on it, but I want to at least make a more complete cast list and scan the back cover before doing so. Anyways, I'm very satisfied with the movie as well, happy to say! ;D)
