Danae Cassandra .. some great old ones and though I have a bunch myself I find it hard to watch them some times.  I really have to be in a 'mood' to watch and enjoy them.  What about you?

I really like the two 'on hold at the shop'.  I saw A Boy and His Dog back in 1974 when it first came out.  I had read the story for the first time when The Beast that Shouted Love at the Heart of the World by Harlan Ellison first came out.  I love the book .. but especially this story.  Although the film is a bit different it is a great film .. one of the first apocalyptic films as far as I am concerned.  If you haven't seen it I hope you really enjoy it .. especially the ending

Danae Cassandra .. some great old ones and though I have a bunch myself I find it hard to watch them some times.  I really have to be in a 'mood' to watch and enjoy them.  What about you?

I love old movies.  I know I'm basically in the minority.  I rarely find them hard to watch.  If anything, I really have to be in the 'mood' to enjoy a modern Hollywood film.  I actually prefer old romance and old comedy to modern.  There's a classiness (for lack of a better term) to them that you don't see any more.

I've read about A Boy and His Dog and was very pleased to see it come in to the shop, where I can get it for trade.  I don't know when I'll get around to watching it, but I think it should be interesting.

Nah .. not the minority .. at least there are two of us <G>.  Although I do need to be in a mood for the very earlly films (silent-early 30's) .. almost anything from early 30's-late 50's is an easy watch.   Of course I grew up on that stuff so probably the good influence of my parents.  I love early jazz, swing and bebop too <G>

There is something about the substance of earlier films that most current films just don't have.
