Bummer.

Amazon send a Chasing Amy Blu-ray all right, but unfortunately they didn't send the American one - which is region-free - but the Canadian one which is region A locked.

Is there a special reason why you didn't buy the UK release?

I basically got the US version for free (gift certificate) and www.regionfreemovies.com declared it as region-free.

After driving 160km, spending an additional €12.50 on customs (and not even counting gas money) and 1.5 hours of time lost, I have now my package. I hope at least some of the blind buys here are worth the hassle:

Nada Sou Sou - Tears For You (YesAsia)

Love Wind Love Song (YesAsia)

A Perfect Match (YesAsia)

  Calla (YesAsia)
Virgin Snow (YesAsia)

1778 Stories of Me & My Wife (YesAsia)

Sayaka (YesAsia)

Tatchi (YesAsia)

Slot Queen (YesAsia)

This is a bit of a surprise... both Brittany and I are big fans of superheroes... we just don't agree with what is better DC or Marvel. I like DC... she likes Marvel. She seldomly watches/reads anything DC. Because of this... she just gave me...

Justice League: Season One
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl – they have all saved countless lives from unspeakable dangers, using their unique powers to fight evil on Earth and across the galaxy. And until now, they have all worked alone. But after an alien invasion that took their combined powers to defeat, these seven super heroes unite to become the Justice League.

These 26 adventures feature battles with favorite villains like Lex Luthor, Vandal Savage and sorceress Morgan Le Fey. Acts of justice include saving Aquaman from a coup, clearing Green Lantern's name in a charge of genocide and freeing slaves on the distant planet War World. From the smash hit TV series, these triumphant tales of titanic teamwork will enthrall and inspire!

Episodes:
1. Secret Origins Part 1
2. Secret Origins Part 2
3. Secret Origins Part 3

I just placed a small order for...

Justice League: Season Two
Dangers across the galaxy threaten Earth – and the only obstacle to the annihilation of the human race is the Justice League: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Hawkgirl! But having super powers doesn't make these heroes immune to human nature. Deep-rooted feelings of mistrust and insecurity surface and plague the League, causing internal strife and leaving them vulnerable to attacks from their enemies. But when one of their own commits the ultimate betrayal, it could be the end of the Justice League and Earth forever. Don't miss one second of suspense or one iota of excitement with this 4-disc, 26-episode collection.

Or get a region free reader (as I have but I think they are hard to find in the Old Continent) or a software to play them on your computer (the only one I know is costly, at least it is for me).

The problem with Blu-ray regions is that you have to get a chip modding of your player for this.

With DVDs it was this way: The DVD player asked the disc what region it is and if answered correctly it would play. Soon there were many DVD players that simply "forgot" to ask and played any disc.

With Blu-rays it's the other way around. The disc asks the player what region it is and only plas if the player answers correctly. And if you want a license to build Blu-ray player your player must not have a software option to simply change the region of the player.
