I need to try more Hitchcock and this wasn't too bad a price at 14 films for less than £17.00
Includes
Frenzy, Rope, The Man Who Knew Too Much, The Birds, Rear Window, The Trouble with Harry,  Vertigo
Psycho, Marnie, Torn Curtain, Shadow of a Doubt, Family Plot, Topaz, Saboteur
I have the R1 equivalent of that set, which has good transfers. For me this is, while limitzed to what Universal has the rights to, bascially the essential Hitchcock from how I knew him. Only few films I would get myself beyond that, like North By Northwest, which I incidentally double-dipped with Blu upon an unopened shrink-wrapped DVD :bag:

I've got that Hitchcock set too, because Jon recommended it and because it was cheap. The problem (at least with the UK set) is that Marnie, Torn Curtain and Topaz are Fullscreen instead of OAR 1.85:1.

EDIT: More precisely and verified by myself, Marnie and Topaz are open matte, while Torn Curtain is slightly open matte but also cropped left and right.

The R1 set is luckily correct on these.

Hera Pheri (Amazon.co.uk)
Blind buy. This movie has some great reviews.
What's Your Raashee? (Amazon.co.uk)
I have seen other movies by the same director. And I was curious about seeing Priyanka Chopra play twelve different characters in one movie.

Babylon 5 gets even better the second and third time around when you notice all the hints that were dropped early on but you could't possibly recognize before you've seen the whole picture at least once.

Gupt (Amazon.co.uk)
Another one for my Kajol collection. This time around she plays a villain.
Never Been Kissed/Just Married/Where the Heart Is (Amazon.co.uk)
I have been wanting to watch "Never Been Kissed" again, but first I wanted to replace my copy with an anamorphic transfer. I took the chance to buy a movie set, with two other movies I haven't seen yet.
Kismat Konnection (Amazon.co.uk)
I have seen three movies with Shahid Kapoor so far and enjoyed all three.
Yes Boss (Amazon.co.uk)
Another old Shah Rukh Khan movie.
Ishq (Amazon.co.uk)
Another one for my Kajol collection. Again with her future husband Ajay Devgan. And also with a young Aamir Khan.

Arrived today....

The Ghost/Dominique is Dead
THE GHOST
The alluring icon Barbara Steele recreates her role in this sequel to director Ricardo Freda's supernatural thriller The Horrible Dr. Hitchcock. Steele returns as Cynthia, the troubled widow of a sadistic murderer and necrophiliac, who once conspired with her lover to murder her husband before she became his next tortured plaything. Unfortunately for her, you can't keep an evil man down, as her murderous husband's ghost returns for revenge. This horror/psychological thriller features Barbara Steele at her best.

DOMINIQUE IS DEAD
A greedy American entrepreneur (Cliff Robertson), who recently lost his wife (Jean Simmons), starts believing that her spirit is haunting him. She has good reason to return since he tried many times to scare her to death and only succeeded when she committed suicide from being frightened all the time. The dastardly husband starts to question whether she is a ghost or is she playing the same mind games he played on her? This is a suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat and should not be missed.
Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things/The Undertaker and His Pals
Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
Bob Clark's  Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things is one of the most inventive zombie movies to come out in the wake of George Romero's Night of the Living Dead.  Six friends dig up a corpse named Orville.  They decide to experiment with witchcraft and voodoo rituals on the poor rotting Orville, only to be surprised and terrified by the awakening of the dead as they rise from their graves.  This film is chilliing, tension filled and only for those with strong stomachs, as the "Living Dead" have their grisly revenge on the amateur grave robbers.  The graphic violence, gruesome subject matter and unrelenting horror make this movie not for children or adults who scare easily.

The Undertaker and His Pals
An enterprising undertaker forms an alliance with a pair of restaurant owners to supply them with main dishes of fresh meat for their hungry customers.  Macabre humor and terror is combined in this exploitation horror film as the residents of a small Southern town are served human flesh as culinary specials of the day.  In order to keep the supply of fresh meat coming, the undertaker and his pals must visit the town every once in awhile and go on a killing spree.  This cult horror film will make you think twice before stopping at a small Southern diner for lunch or dinner.  Great shock film of the 1960s.
The Wolfman
Academy Award® winners Anthony Hopkins* (The Silence of the Lambs) and Benicio Del Toro** (Traffic) tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller. Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his brother's grieving fiancée (Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada) and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, The Matrix Trilogy). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed and soon discovers a fate far worse than death.

Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins.

*1991 Best Actor, The Silence of the Lambs
**2000 Best Supporting Actor, Traffic
