I hope you'll like them, Tom. At least the first two. The third one is not an entirely bad film, just not up to par with the other two.

I have the DVDs of the restored version and they still look fantastic. I daren't look at any comparisons though. :bag:
I have the DVD versions as well and decided to upgrade.

Sorry, won't mention it again

I think you'll like Jack and Sarah. My mum loves it and it's a well told decent story with a great cast. McKellen as the drunk is a highlight!

I watched it a few years back on, so it isn't exactly a blind buy.

Well another one I can recommend is On A Clear Day. My mum likes that one too, so there's your first recommendation! ;) But it's a low-key British film, perhaps similar to Full Monty, but I say that through gritted teeth because I think this one is better. It's much more unassuming. I suppose the plot is similar (a man recently made redundant decides to do something nuts. In this case, swim the channel), but the mood is definitely closer to Jack & Sarah, though that one is easier to identify with.

As you are a user of DVD Profiler, you could do it with my "Trading Poster TG" plugin. There you have the option to generate a code for this forum to list the front cover images of the flagged titles.
Or you can configure the custom trading poster (in the plugin settings). For example like this:

Custom Header:
Code: [Select]
Custom Body:
Code: [Select]

TP_Title

Custom Footer:
Code: [Select]
Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (Amazon.co.uk)
I have been wanting to see this movie for awhile now. I got it at a good price. It must be my heaviest keep case release I've got. Besides two discs it includes a 80(!)-page booklet. Mostly text without much filler images.
Shadow of the Vampire (Amazon.co.uk)
I had this one on my wishlist for awhile now. It sounds interesting. It is a thriller about the production of Nosferatu. Here, Max Schreck (the star of Nosferatu) is a real vampire. It stars Willem Dafoe as Max Schreck.
À la folie... pas du tout (Amazon.co.uk)
It stars Audrey Tautou and it sounds like it could be fun.
My Summer of Love (Amazon.co.uk)
For my lesbian movie marathon.
Tori Amos: Live at Montreux 1991/1992 (Amazon.co.uk)
Two early concerts of Tori Amos at the beginning of her solo career.
