Batman Begins
In 'BATMAN BEGINS', acclaimed director Christopher Nolan explores the origins of the legendary DARK KNIGHT. In the wake of his parents' murders, disillusioned heir BRUCE WAYNE (CHRISTAIN BALE) travels to the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. With the help of his trusted butler ALFRED (MICHAEL CAINE), detective JIM GORDON (GARY OLDMAN) and his ally LUCIUS FOX (MORGAN FREEMAN). Wayne returns to GOTHAM CITY and unleashes his alter ego: BATMAN, a masked crusader who uses strength, intellect and an array of high-tech weaponry to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city.
The Ladykillers
Sir Alec Guinness gives one of his most unforgettable performances as Professor Marcus, the mastermind of a gang of vicious bank robbers who rent a room from elderly widow Mrs. Wilberforce (Katie Johnson, winner of the British Academy Award for Best Actress). But when the dear old woman begins to meddle in their 'perfect crime,' the crooks (including Herbert Lom and the legendary Peter Sellers in his first major screen role) decide that she must be killed. Now after a daring heist, a runaway parrot and several cups of tea, can the most diabolical criminals in London still manage to murder one sweet old lady?

Directed by Alexander Mackendrick (THE MAN IN THE WHITE SUIT, SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS ), this Ealing Studios masterpiece was nominated for an Oscar® for Best Screenplay and remains one of the most ruthlessly brilliant black comedies of all time. THE ALEC GUINNESS COLLECTION presents this screen legend's classic comedies including KIND HEARTS AND CORONETS, THE LAVENDER HILL MOB, THE MAN IN THE WHITE SUIT and THE CAPTAIN'S PARADISE, all still considered to be among the greatest movie comedies ever made.
Possession
Sarah Michelle Gellar (The Grudge 1, 2), leads an all-star cast including Lee Pace (TV's Pushing Daisies) and Michael Landes (Lakeview Terrace) in the year's most mesmerizing thriller. Newlyweds Jess (Gellar) and Ryan (Landes) seem to have it all until a car accident renders both Ryan and his brother Roman (Pace) comatose. But things spin even more eerily out of control when Roman awakens and tries to convince Jess that he is her husband. Beside herself with fear and grief, Jess grapples with one question: Could the man before her actually be the man she lost....or does something far more sinister await her in his arms?
That Old Feeling
The wedding from hell just sparked a match made in heaven! Comedy legend Carl Reiner directs the hottest couple of the year, Bette Midler and Dennis Farina in an irresistably funny, incurably romantic motion picture that celebrates the "lighter" side of love.

Happily divorced for 14 years, Liddy and Dan still have one thing in common, they hate each other with nuclear capacity. But after a knock-down, drag out fight at their daughter's wedding, their pent up hostility suddenly turns to unbridled passion! Now the two unlikely lovebirds are on the run – with their frantic daughter, her new, stuffed-shirt husband and an appealing paparazzo in hot pursuit.
Home for the Holidays
Director Jodie Foster dishes up a "heaping helping of holiday hilarity" (NBC-TV) with this laugh-out-loud comedy from screenwriter W.D. Richter about family, food and finding acceptance with the people you love. Home for the Holidays is a "wickedly funny" film that's "so true it hurts" ("Entertainment Today")!

In a span of 36 hours, Claudia Larson (Hunter) has managed to lose her job, make out with her boss and learn that her daughter (Danes) is planning to go all the way. But Claudia's fortunes actually take a turn for the worse when she flies home to endure an even more grueling trial: the family Thanksgiving! Beset by a neurotic mother (Bancroft), kooky father (Durning), eccentric brother (Downey, Jr.) and compulsively "normal" sister (Stevenson), Claudia struggles to maintain her calm. But as sparks fly, tempers flare and turkeys go airborne, Claudia manages to recapture the zaniness of her childhood and discover that the most important things in life are the memories she shares with family...and for that, she can only be thankful!
Wild Things
Kevin Bacon (Mystic River), Matt Dillon (There's Something About Mary), Neve Campbell (Scream) and Denise Richards (The World Is Not Enough) lead an all-star cast in this sexy, action-packed thriller boiling over with hot new scenes!

Nominated for an MTV Movie Award (Best Kiss), WILD THINGS is a scandalous tale of crime, corruption, and lust set in Florida's exclusive Blue Bay beach community, where the ties that bind are as murky as the Everglades. Accused of rape by two scheming high school vixens (Richards, Campbell), a student counselor (Dillon) is trailed by both a detective (Bacon) and a slick attorney who bust their devious scam wide open – or do they? This unrated version is loaded with too-hot-for-theatres footage, talent filmographies and more!
Starman / Jagged Edge - Double Feature
Starman
Director John Carpenter presents a romantic science fiction odyssey starring Jeff Bridges as an innocent alien from a distant planet who learns what it means to be a man in love. When his spacecraft is shot down over Wisconsin, Starman (Bridges) arrives at the remote cabin of a distraught young widow, Jenny Hayden (Karen Allen), and clones the form of her dead husband. The alien convinces Jenny to drive him to Arizona, explaining that if he isn't picked up by his mothership in three days, he'll die. Hot on their trail are government agents, intent on capturing the alien, dead or alive. En route, Starman demonstrates the power of universal love, while Jenny rediscovers her human feelings for passion.

JAGGED EDGE
A grisly homicide... a sensational trial... a forbidden affair. It's JAGGED EDGE, a razor-sharp suspense thriller about crime, punishment and passion. JEFF BRIDGES is the prime suspect and GLENN CLOSE plays the attorney who falls in love with him. When a San Francisco socialite is viciously murdered, her publisher-husband, Jack Forrester (Bridges), is accused of committing the crime. Teddy Barnes (Close) decides to defend the charming, manipulative Jack, only to disregard legal ethics by having an affair with him. With the help of private eye Sam Ransom (ROBERT LOGGIA), she takes on a ruthless D.A. (PETER COYOTE) who's using the case as a political steppingstone. However, a startling revelation puts Teddy in jeopardy of becoming the next victim of the JAGGED EDGE.

The Wind and the Lion
Sean Connery brings his commanding presence and rugged heroism to the lead role of desert chieftain Raisuli in this rousing historical epic filled with eye-dazzling vistas and sweeping battle scenes.

In 1904 Morocco, European powers desire a foothold in the Arab world – and Raisuli is determined to stir up tribal fury against them. So he kidnaps an American widow (Candice Bergen) and her children, igniting a chain of events that include President Theodore Roosevelt (Brian Keith) wielding the big stick of foreign policy and Raisuli matching wits and sharing mutual admiration with his lovely captive. John Milius scripts and directs, bending true-life fact to serve his storytelling craft, shaping history into spirited screen legend.
Simply Irresistible
Sometimes, the most powerful magic of all is the kind that comes straight from the heart. Sarah Michelle Gellar (TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") "brings her bewitching charms to a tale of love" (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) in this seductive story of "hex" appeal.

Beautiful restaurant owner Amanda Shelton (Gellar) is falling head over heels for handsome, hard-driving executive Tom Bartlett (Sean Patrick Flanery). Unfortunately, Tom is too busy to recognize that she's truly the girl of his dreams...until Amanda puts him under her tantalizing spell!
AVP: Alien vs. Predator
It may be our planet, but it’s their war! The deadliest creatures from the scariest sci-fi movies ever made face off for the first time on film. The incredible adventure begins when the discovery of an ancient pyramid buried in Antarctica sends a team of scientists and adventurers to the frozen continent. There, they make an even more terrifying discovery: two alien races engaged in the ultimate battle. Whoever wins...we lose.
The Vanishing/Chain Reaction
The Vanishing
In this riveting, tension-filled psychological thrill, a young woman (Sandra Bullock) mysteriously disappears, sending her boyfriend Jeff (Kiefer Sutherland) on a years-long quest to find her.  Not even a new love (Nancy Travis) can keep him from his obsessive search.  All the while, the calculating psychopath (Jeff Bridges) who kidnapped his girlfriend stalks Jeff, ultimately taking him through the exact same steps that led to the crime.  In order to find out what really happened, Jeff must put his own life in the hands of this devious stranger.

Chain Reaction
A student machinist (Keanu Reeves) finds himself caught in a maze of secret government cover-ups, hi-tech espionage and murder after working on a groundbreaking scientific experiment.  Eddie Kasalivich (Reeves) and Lily Sinclair (Rachel Weisz) are part of a team of scientists who have developed a revolutionary new source of energy.  But no sooner have they finished celebrating their triumph than their lab is destroyed and the head of their team killed.  Names as the main suspects, Eddie and Lilly quickly realized their only hope lies with a powerful and mysterious bureaucrat (Morgan Freeman) who may or may not be on their side.
Get Shorty
Drug Smuggling.  Racketeering.  Loan Sharking.  Welcome to Hollywood!  Golden Globe winner* John Travolta leads an all-star cast in "the most flat-out enjoyable movie of the year" (NY Newsday) – a hysterical comedy that insists it doesn't take much to make it in the movies...just a background with the mob.

Loanshark Chili Palmer (Travolta) has done his time as a gangster. So when "business" takes him to L.A. to collect a debt from a down-and-out filmmaker (Gene Hackman), Chili jumps headfirst into the Hollywood scene: he schmoozes a film star (Danny DeVito), romances a "B" movie queen (Rene Russo) and even gets reservations at the hottest restaurants in town. In fact, all would be  smooth for this cool new producer, if it weren't for the drug smugglers and an angry mobster who won't leave him alone. But hey, this is Hollywood and no one said it would be easy!

*1995 Best Actor (Comedy)
Spaceballs
May the farce be with you in this hysterically funny space oddity, created by comic genius Mel Brooks, that will send you into hyperspace with fits of laughter! Lampooning everything from Star Wars to Star Trek, this outrageous send-up of epic sci-fi movies is full of cosmic crazies who score "eight trillion on the laugh-meter" (Gene Shalit, NBC-TV)!

Fearless – and clueless – space heroes Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his half man/half dog sidekick Barf (John Candy) wage interstellar warfare to free Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) from the evil clutches of Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis). On the way to the rescue – in their Winnebago – they confront the huge, gooey Pizza The Hutt (voice of Dom De Luise), sassy robot Dot Matrix (voice of Joan Rivers) and a wise little creature named Yogurt (Mel Brooks), who teaches them the mystical power of "The Schwartz" in order to bring peace – and merchandising rights – to the entire galaxy!
Hitch
Meet Hitch (Will Smith), New York City's greatest matchmaker. Love is his job and he'll get you the girl of your dreams in just three easy dates, guaranteed! And that's exactly what happens when Albert Brennaman (TV's Kevin James, "The King of Queens") wins the heart of gorgeous society heiress Allegra Cole (supermodel Amber Valletta). So when tabloid columnist Sara Melas (Eva Mendes, Stuck On You, Once Upon a Time in Mexico) decides to uncover the secret behind the tubby schlub's success, she's shocked to discover that Alex Hitchens, the charming young man she's been seeing, is the legendary date doctor himself. Exposed in a front-page scoop, it's now up to Alex to try to save Albert and Allegra's relationship as well as his own. Which only goes to show that just when you think you've found true love, there's always a HITCH.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Oscar® nominees Laura Linney (2000, Best Actress, You Can Count on Me) and Tom Wilkinson (2001, Best Actor, In The Bedroom) delve into the supernatural in this thriller based on a true story that will test your resolve, and ultimately your faith.

Emily Rose (Jennifer Carpenter, White Chicks) was an average teenage girl who was the target of terrifying demonic forces that would ultimately shock a town and torment her soul. But was she, as many believed, possessed? In an attempt to clear the clergyman who exorcised Emily, a skeptical attorney (Linney) awakens to the discovery that powerful spiritual forces may actually exist. This harrowing film unfolds like a recurring nightmare from which there is no waking.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop
With a heart that won't quit, a stomach that won't stop gurgling, and a self-sworn oath to protect his turf, he's Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Mild-mannered Paul Blart (Kevin James, "The King of Queens") has always had huge dreams of becoming a State Trooper.  Until then, he patrols the local mall as a security guard.  With his closely cropped mustache, personal transporter and gung-ho attitude, only Blart seems to take his job seriously.  All that changes when a team of thugs raids the mall and takes hostages.  Untrained, unarmed and a super-size target, Blart has to become a real cop to save the day.
Showtime
Showtime is fun time, an action/comedy tale of mismatched LAPD partners (Robert De Niro and Eddie Murphy) directed by Tom Dey (Shanghai Noon). De Niro, wearing a slow-burn scowl like a badge, plays Mitch, a cop's cop forced by his superiors to be the focus of a reality-TV series. Murphy plays Trey, a camera-ready officer more eager to hit his mark than hit the streets. Backed by a ratings-obsessed producer (Rene Russo) and coached in the finer points of TV copdom by a veteran star (William Shatner, spoofing his T.J. Hooker), Mitch and Trey become America's favorite buddy cops. But reel life soon gives way to the real. A brutal crimelord must be stopped–and that's where the shrapnel hits the fan.
Stardust
"Scheming princes, wicked witches, flying pirates, celestial love, a pure-hearted hero, all in a magical land.  What more do you want?" raves Today's Gene Shalit for Stardust, an epic adventure starring Claire Danes with Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro.

In hopes of wooing a beautiful girl (Sienna Miller), Tristan (Charlie Cox) promises to bring her a falling star. But he’s in for the adventure of his life when he discovers the star is actually a celestial beauty named Yvaine (Danes).

When an old witch Lamia (Pfeiffer) attempts to steal Yvaine’s youth, Tristan must protect her at all costs. This magical fairytale like no other will make you laugh out loud and believe in love again.
War of the Worlds
An earth-shattering adventure that both "rivets and amazes" (Michael Wilmington, Chicago Tribune), War of the Worlds reunites superstar Tom Cruise and Academy Award®-winning* director Steven Spielberg for one of the most awe-inspiring cinematic experiences of all time!

A contemporary retelling of H.G. Wells’s classic, the sci-fi thriller reveals the extraordinary battle for the future of humankind through the eyes of one American family. Fleeing from an extraterrestrial army of killer Tripods that annihilate everything in their path, Ray Ferrier (Cruise) races to keep his family safe. War of the Worlds is an action-packed adventure that explodes with spectacular special effects!

*1998 Best Director, Saving Private Ryan; 1993 Best Picture and Best Director, Schindler's List.
Big Trouble
The laughs come fast and furious as Tim Allen (Joe Somebody, Galaxy Quest) and Rene Russo (Showtime, The Thomas Crown Affair) star in a film from Barry Sonnenfeld, director of Get Shorty'and Men In Black. Based on humorist Dave Barry's best-selling first novel, Big Trouble follows the comedic chaos created when a mysterious suitcase that threatens the security of Miami changes the lives of a divorced dad, an unhappy housewife, 2 hit men, a pair of street thugs, 2 love-struck teens, 2 FBI men and a psychedelic toad. There is something for everyone no matter who is looking for Big Trouble, and in the end all-star comedy conquers all.
Austin Powers in Goldmember
He's found his mojo, baby, and now Austin Powers (Mike Myers, Shrek) strikes gold in his newest 24-karat shagadelic comedy-adventure!

The "sshhh!" hits the fan when Dr. Evil and Mini-Me escape from prison. Joining forces with the superfreaky Goldmember, they kidnap Austin's father, master spy Nigel Powers (Oscar winner® Michael Caine*), in a dastardly time-travel scheme to take over the world. Before you can say "Shake Your Booty," Austin cruises to 1975 and teams up with sexy Foxxy Cleopatra (Beyonce Knowles, R&B Group Destiny's Child) to stop Dr. Evil and Goldmember from their mischievous mayhem.

*Michael Caine, 1999 Best Supporting Actor, The Cider House Rules.
The Stalking Moon
Veteran Army scout Sam Varner (Gregory Peck) agrees to escort a former Apache captive (Eva Marie Saint) and her half-Indian son to safety across a sprawling Southwest of desert wastelands and imposing mountains. But shadowing their path is a renegade killer dead set on getting the boy back.

Peck powerfully reunites with his To Kill a Mockingbird producer Alan J. Pakula and director Robert Mulligan for a suspenseful tale with the direct leanness and hypnotic landscape of classic Westerns. Events tighten around Varner, his charges and his best friend (Robert Forster) like a noose. The siege is relentless. The terror grows. And the stage is set for a final, violent showdown between hunter and hunted.
Chain Reaction
A student machinist (KEANU REEVES) finds himself caught in a maze of secret government cover-ups, hi-tech espionage and murder after working on a ground-breaking scientific experiment. Eddie Kasalivich (REEVES) and Lily Sinclair (RACHEL WEISZ) are part of a team of scientists who have developed a revolutionary new source of energy. But no sooner have they finished celebrating their triumph, than their lab is destroyed and the head of their team killed. Named as the main suspects, Eddie and Lily quickly realize their only hope lies with a powerful and mysterious bureaucrat (MORGAN FREEMAN) who may or ay not be on their side.
The Vanishing
In this riveting, tension-filled psychological thriller, a young woman (SANDRA BULLOCK) mysteriously disappears, sending her boyfriend Jeff (KIEFER SUTHERLAND) on a years-long quest to find her.
