I'm just glad Whedon got the chance to do a proper ending..unlike what happened with Firefly.  That still ticks me off.   :voodoo:
Well, he did end it through the movie... But some people are still ticked off at him for that ;)

I liked the movie..but it still wasn't the same as if we had gotten several years of the show.

Just Ordered...

MacGyver: The Complete Series

Using his brain in place of a gun, secret agent Angus MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson) relies on his knowledge of science to save himself and others from jeopardy. Deploring the promotion of everyday violence, MacGyver refuses to carry weapons and instead designs lifesaving tools out of household staples like paper clips and duct tape. Anderson portrays a likeable hero of strong principles and intellect in this clever series, which successfully ran for seven years and continues to remain a beloved cult favorite. This collection presents the series in its entirety.

Ordered from an amazon marketplace seller...

Stargate: Continuum

An elite military unit (SG-1) must flee back to Earth when two members of their team inexplicably disappear into thin air. But they return to a world in which the Stargate - an Ancient device which allows them to travel to hundreds of planets - was never discovered, and their own history has been erased. Now they must convince a dubious government and military that the timeline was altered by a powerful Alien enemy (Ba'al) in order to conquer Earth, and time is not on their side...

I think... if I am not mistaken... with this I will have the entire SG-1 portion of the Stargate universe. I have Stargate: SG-1: The Complete Series... Stargate: The Ark of Truth... and now getting Stargate: Continuum. Is that everything for SG-1?

I got the box full of free DVDs from a good and generous friend today. Some of these I mentioned in my DVD Care Package thread... some I haven't. My friend spoiled me with the following titles...

Creature

A group of scientists and explorers arrive on Saturn's largest moon, Titan, to examine archaic artifacts of unknown origin. When a mysterious canister is uncovered, an eons-old monster is released, with deadly results. A rival exploration team is sent to investigate their disappearance and the "Creature" is there to greet then with a deadly welcome. Klaus Kinsky is wonderful as the ever-leering lecherous sole survivor of the previous expedition. Violence, nudity, adult situations and explicit language are present throughout this film.
The Blood Beast Terror

Corpses drained of blood and marked with strange wounds are discovered during the dark nights of Victorian England. When horror great Peter Cushing (Hammer’s Dr. Frankenstein) as Inspector Quennell investigates, he discovers one of the most bizarre monsters in movie history…a giant, blood-sucking moth with the ability to take on human form! A crazed entomologist (Robert Flemyng, The Horrible Dr. Hitchcock) trying to make a mate for the monster needs blood for the experiment, and he’s got his eye Quennell’s daughter. Creepy, atmospheric…and just absurd enough to be a lot of fun!
The Simple Life

It's the ultimate culture clash when two rich, spoiled big-city blondes, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, find themselves in a small town in Arkansas and try to survive without credit cards, nightclubs, and Saks Fifth Avenue!

See what happens when the girls with everything go from filthy rich...to just plain filthy!
The Simple Life 3: Interns

Imagine calling 911 and having Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie show up! In Season 3, America's favourite celebutantes are more outrageous than ever as they hop on a Greyhound bus and try out new jobs, even at a fire department! As they leave the East Coast wowed and wondering, the two beautiful blondes have a ball -- from slapping patients in a dentist's office, to misreporting the weather, to cleaning cages at a zoo. And when they aren't baffling their bosses, there are always pranks to pull and romances to recharge!
The Big Lebowski

The Dude. One cool guy. Who one day comes home to find two thugs have broken in and ruined his favorite carpet - the one that made the room "hang together". Thing is, they did it because he's got the same name as one of the richest men in town. Lebowski. But hey, no problem. He'll get even. At least he'll get someone to pay for the carpet.
Jeremiah: The Complete First Season

A stunning sci-fi epic that re-envisions the future of mankind, this top-rated, action-packed original series is "intriguing" (Associated Press)," fascinating" (Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel) and "deep and intense" (Science Fiction Weekly)! Luke Perry ("Beverly Hils 90210," "Oz") stars as Jeremiah, one of the many young survivors of the "Big Death" that claimed the lives of every adult in the world 15 years ago. Now forging his way through a bleak wilderness fraught with danger and conspiracy, Jeremiah and his most trusted friend, Kurdy (Malcolm-Jamal Warner), are plunged into thrilling adventures that test every facet of their humanity...and ultimately the fate of the human race itself!

Dead Creatures

In the center of a large and unknowing city, a group of young women huddle together in a small apartment, tending to a sick friend whose skin is rotting to the bone. These women have been cursed with a secret malady that has made them members of an urban subculture, where their only way of survival is to continually feed on humans. They have been forced to abandon their once normal lives to now prowl the dark streets and alleyways in search of their next victim. But these hunters are also being hunted. There is a mysterious man walking these same streets, who will stop at nothing until they are abolished - one by one.
Welcome to the doomed universe of Andrew Parkinson's Dead Creatures.
Wolf Creek

Welcome to Wolf Creek, where the suspense of The Blair Witch Project meets the horror of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Inspired by Australia's ''Backpacker Killer'' who murdered seven backpackers in the '90s, Wolf Creek won wide acclaim from critics, filmmakers and audience members alike at the Sundance Film Festival.

Three unsuspecting hikers take off for a drive across Australia. When the trio returns from a four-hour hike to Wolf Creek National Park, they find their car is dead. Help comes in the form of big, back-slapping bushman Mick (John Jarratt). Since Mick appears to be more Crocodile Dundee than Freddy Krueger, the trio trusts him...which proves to be a grave mistake.
Automaton Transfusion

Featuring the leanest, meanest and fastest zombies ever filmed, Automaton Transfusion is a non stop horror masterpiece that "pushes the outer envelope of on screen violence" (Esplatter.com). As a group of teenagers fight an army experiment gone awry, hordes of hungry, flesh eating undead surge through their town – ripping jaws, snapping bodies and devouring men, women and children! Definitely not for the faint of heart, Automaton Transfusion is a "completely brutal...gore fest" (Moviethunder.com) that shockingly redefines the zombie genre.
Dark Heaven

Officer Gabriel Goodman lives in a dark world where nothing matters since the death of his wife and son. He awakes one day to empty streets, vacant buildings and a deserted world. Drawn to a church, he discovers a few survivors struggling to survive against the dark satanic forces seeking to possess their souls.

In the ultimate battle between good and evil, the whole world is at stake. With angels on his side, only Gabriel can save mankind from the apocalypse and return us to the world we once knew.
Rabid

With Rabid, acclaimed director David Cronenberg (The Fly, Dead Ringers, Crash, Naked Lunch) delivers a high-tension, thriller the way only Cronenberg can.

After undergoing radical emergency surgery, Rose (adult film star Marilyn Chambers in her first leading role in a mainstream film) develops an insatiable desire for blood. She searches out victims to satisfy her incurable craving, infecting them with an unknown disease which in turn swiftly drives them insane and equally bloodthirsty.

Follow the lovely but deadly Rose through her terrifying ordeal as victim by victim the spreading circle of casualties grows... until no one can escape their grisly fate of becoming... Rabid.
Beyond the Door

Jessica Barrett lives a blissful life in San Francisco. With two kids, a record exec husband and a baby on the way, life is pretty full.  But when she finds out that her new baby belongs to the Prince of Darkness, she becomes a demonically possessed beast. Her ex-boyfriend, Dimitri, a Satan worshipper, must sacrifice her child in order to renew his own twisted existence.

Among other things... Lots of horror I will be able to watch for my October horror marathon!  :yahoo:

Die Camper: Die komplette Serie (Amazon.de)
I had watched the first season of this series when it first aired and I did enjoy it. But then they changed the complete cast beginning with the second season and I didn't like it anymore.
When they first started to release this series on DVD, I thought that I would get to finally see the first season again. They didn't show it anymore on TV. But even though the first release claimed to be the first season, it was actually the second season. They acted like the first season didn't exist anymore. This was finally rectified when the complete series boxset was released.
I saw it now with the price reduced. It cost now about as much as usually season sets of German TV series are going for. So I thought I take the chance and get me the first season again to watch (I see the other 8 seasons as bonus features )
Berlin, Berlin: Complete Series (Amazon.de)
I have never seen this series, but it often gets compared to "Mein Leben & Ich", a series I very much enjoy. When I saw the complete series in a bargain, I took the chance and ordered it.
