Sita Sings the Blues (Guess who's to blame for this one)

Wasn't aware that there has been a German release. I wonder if it is a creator-endorsed one? Nina Paley has released the film under a "copyleft" license, so basically anyone can make and sell a DVD with royalties to Paley being entirely voluntary (royalties for the Hanshaw songs are a different matter). The creator-endorsed logo is used to mark releases that support the artist. There is more info on the Sita website (Paley herself is a strong opponent of copyright laws).

I tipped my boss off that if she grabbed True Blood: Season 4 soon (from a certain store) then she could get other HBO titles for 50% off, so as requested, she grabbed me a copy of Game of Thrones: Season 1 in addition to one for herself. I now have a good reason to go into work on Monday (pay her back and grab it off her). I've just finished watching the series, but figured we wouldn't see the price go lower than this.

Gremlins 1 & 2 (1984 - 1990)
The standalone of Gemlins 1 is region free. I think I may want to get this as well at this very readonable price! Although I like the other cover better...

I haven't used the database in years but I find it incredible to see how many movies aren't there... I can understand for obscure released but no Intruders, In the Name of the King, Darkest Hour or The Descendants.

Whatever some users can say this is sure a perfect exemple the database is on the downside since many like me did decide to keep their works due to many factors related to how the database is ruled and how everybody without a dvd can mess perfectly done contribution.

Sad, very sad for the new users...

It's relatively new (16/03/2012).
The "Creator-Endorsed"-logo is to be found on the package, so hopefully Nina Paley is getting her deserved royalties. Since the distributor is Al!ve it's quite likely they actually pay.

Early B'day present from a friend on the way...

Poison Ivy / Poison Ivy 2: Lily / Poison Ivy: The New Seduction
Sensuous young Ivy (Drew Barrymore) befriends introverted teen Sylvie (Sara Gilbert) and seduces her way into the lives of Sylvie's wealthy family in Poison Ivy. In the piquant follow-up, Poison Ivy 2: Lily, a sheltered art student (Alyssa Milano) finds Ivy's diaries and, after reading them, is lured into uninhibited risk-taking to become a wild woman! Then Ivy's sister (Jaime Pressly) visits the Greer residence in Poison Ivy: The New Seduction, and it doesn't take long for her to use her skills of manipulation to throw the household into a slate of panic and deceit.

How are you going to profile this box set Pete?!?  :P

It's a mess actually. The box contains two discs, the first one contains two movies, the second one the third movie. And when you pop it into the player the DVD menu claims that this is supposed to be a dual-sided disc...

This morning for my Birthday I got...

The Client List
Jennifer Love Hewitt stars in her sexiest role ever as Samantha Horton, a former Texas Homecoming Queen who always relied on her beauty and charm to navigate life, something her beautician mother Cassie (Golden Globe® award winner Cybill Shepherd*) taught her. But when the Horton family finds itself facing financial ruin, Samantha must take a job at a local massage parlor, only to discover it's a front for a high-end call girl operation — one so lucrative, she can't afford to turn it down. And when the parlor is raided, Samantha must either cooperate with police and give up her clients' identities, or lose everything she tried so hard to save.

Placed an order this morning.... playing a little catch up on some Sitcoms I watch...

Married with Children: The Complete Second Season
America's favorite dysfuncitional family strikes back in 'MARRIED...
