Arrived today...

2001: A Space Odyssey
2001: A Space Odyssey is a countdown to tomorrow, a road map to human destiny, a quest for the infinite. It is a dazzling, Academy Award™-winning† visual achievement, a compelling drama of man vs. machine, a stunning meld of music and motion. It may be the masterwork of director Stanley Kubrick (who co-wrote the screenplay with Arthur C. Clarke)...and it will likely excite, inspire and enthrall for generations.

To begin his voyage into the future, Kubrick visits our prehistoric ape-ancestry past, then leaps millennia (via one of the most mind-blowing jump cuts ever conceived) into colonized space, and ultimately whisks astronaut Bowman (Keir Dullea) into uncharted realms of space, perhaps even into immortality."Open the pod bay doors, HAL." Let the awe and mystery of a journey unlike any other begin.

†1968: Special Visual Effects
Taxi
Sassy hip-hop star Queen Latifah brings hilarious attitude to this hard-driving, high octane comedy! Latifah plays Belle, New York’s finest cabbie, whose taxi-driving expertise – not to mention her loaded-to-the-max vehicle – comes in handy when an overeager young undercover cop (Jimmy Fallon) must crack a bank robbery plot hatched by a gang of sexy supermodels! Don’t miss this tire-squealing, stop-on-a-dime comedy with a topflight cast of stars, including Ann-Margret, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, and NYPD Blue's Henry Simmons.
Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid
The blood orchid - A rare flower that holds the secret of eternal life and a fortune to the pharmaceutical company that finds it. Led by a two-fisted soldier of fortune, a scientific expedition is sent deep into the jungles of Borneo to locate and bring back samples of the legendary plant. Battling their way upriver, the explorers brave poisonous insects, ferocious crocodiles and savage headhunters, unaware they're being stalked by an even greater danger: a nest of giant anacondas, voracious, fifty-foot-long flesh-eaters who'll stop at nothing to protect their breeding ground, the blood orchid's home.
The Pink Panther
When a star soccer coach is murdered and his priceless Pink Panther diamond stolen, France is in an uproar. Fortunately, Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin, Bowfinger, Cheaper by the Dozen) is on the case. He doesn't have a clue, but for Clouseau, that's just a minor detail. With his partner, Gilbert Ponton (Jean Reno, The Da Vinci Code, The Professional), he careens from one misadventure to the next, leaving mayhem in his wake from the boulevards of Paris to the streets of New York. Will he seduce the pop diva, Xania (Beyoncé Knowles, Austin Powers: Goldmember)? Will he push Chief Inspector Dreyfus (Oscar® Winner Kevin Kline, 1988 Best Supporting Actor, A Fish Called Wanda) over the edge? Will he catch the killer and recover the diamond? With Inspector Clouseau, anything is possible.
The Whole Ten Yards
When last seen, retired hitman Jimmy "The Tulip" wasn't seen at all. He was dead and gone...to Mexico. Dentist Oz Oseransky faked dental records that proved Jimmy's death and allowed him to secretly vamoose to a bunny-slippered Baja life. Then one day Oz shows up uninvited with a simple request. H-E-L-L-L-P!

Five stars return for a crazier-plus-one sequel to The Whole Nine Yards. This time, Jimmy (Bruce Willis) is reeled in to help rescue Oz's wife (Natasha Henstridge) after phonetically challenged mobster Lazlo (Kevin Pollak) kidnaps her. Jimmy's wife (Amanda Peet), an eager wannabe assassin, is thrilled to be back in the game. Panicked Oz (Matthew Perry) is sure they're all going to wake up dead. And everything spins into gleeful new realms of the whacked and wacky. How does it all end this time? Sorry. Our tulips are sealed.
Totally Rosie
Laugh along to these rare routines from Rosie O'Donnell's early career as a stand-up comic!

Live from Rascal's Comedy Club, catch these rare performances from America's favorite entertainer Rosie O'Donnell. Before her own talk show, before Broadway, before Hollywood films - This is a surprising and candid Rosie that most of her fans have never seen. All of these early career bits solidified her place in show business and give a rare glimpse into the Rosie that everyone knows and loves: singing, dancing, and delivering that trademark giggle. With an off-the-wall comedy approach covering a wide range of topics, this star of the big and small screen shows how funny she's always been, even before finding stardom.

At one of the comedy clubs that helped break her career, multi-talented comedienne Rosie O'Donnell is totally hysterical live onstage in these never-before-available early routines.
Hoodwinked
So you think you know the story of Little Red Riding Hood.
Don't be to sure...One of your favorite fairy tales is turned upside-down and inside-out in what the L.A.Times called "high-energy, imaginative entertainment." Whit irreverent storytelling, spunk and wit, Hoodwinked delivers a comedy caper for the young, the young at heart and everyone in between. When the police arrive at Granny's cottage in the woods to answer a domestic disturbance call, it looks like just another open-and-shut case. But Red, Granny, the Big Bad Wolf and the woodsman are not your usual suspects, as they have their own dark secrets, wily deceptions and conflicting accounts of the crime. Together, they must put aside their differences and find their own original twist on Happily Ever After in this "raucous, genre-busting, animated gem(Entertainment Weekly, The Must List."
Valkyrie
"Tom Cruise gives one of the best performances of his career" (Jeffrey Lyons, NBC/Reel Talk) in this action-packed film from the director of The Usual Suspects and X-Men. Based on the incredible true story of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Cruise) and his ingenious assassination plot targeting Adolph Hitler, this engrossing thriller reenacts the daring operation to eliminate one of the most evil tyrants the world has ever known. Co-starring Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Terence Stamp and Eddie Izzard, Valkyrie delivers gripping suspense and pulse-pounding excitement from start to finish!

There usually is songs in these animated movies. As long as it isn't too many too close together I will be fine. It may loose my attention for a few minutes... but that is about it.

Recently Brittany was given some Anime discs... some of them she wasn't interested in. So she gave them to me. I ended up with...

Dragonball Z: Vol. 01 Saiyan - Arrival
The Saiyans are a race of alien warriors who crave destruction. They have sent their mighty warrior, Raditz, to the Earth to search for this younger brother, Kakarot, and to finish the job his brother neglected - to destroy all traces of human life on the planet!

Raditz confronts Goku, oneof the Earth's greatest defenders, and shocks everyone by revealing that Goku is really Kakarot with amnesia! Raditz commands Goku to accept his heritage and attack the Earth. When Goku refuses, Raditz kidnaps Goku's son Gohan and commands Goku to destroy 100 earthlings by the next morning to save his son's life. Still reeling from the shock, Goku suddenly finds help from an unlikely source - his arch-enemy Piccolo! Despite their differences, they both realize that they must team up if they want to have a chance against Raditz. However, once their battle against the Saiyan has begun, it becomes obvious that, even together, they are not powerful enough to challenge Raditz! How will they make up the difference? What sacrifices will have to be made to protect the Earth?
Dragon Ball Z: Vol. 18 - Captain Ginyu - Assault
Ginyu Assault
Burter and Jeice of the fearsome Ginyu force launch an attack on Goku. But the tables turn as Goku’s new power is way too much for to handle. After Goku easily defeats Burter, Jeice rushes to retrieve the fiercest of all Ginyu … Captain Ginyu himself. But can their collective force match up to the new Goku. (Episode 54)

Incredible Force!
An angry Captain Ginyu initiates a battle with the fearless Goku, as the ruthless mercenary attempts to uncover Goku’s true strength. But Goku cleverly conceals his power level from the militant monster. Finally, at the insistence of the captain, Goku astounds both Jeice and Giny by revealing his true power... A power unlike anything they had anticipated. (Episode 55)

Frieza Approaches
Captain Ginyu and Jeice face up to Goku only to discover the truth about what they’re up against. Elsewhere, Guru bestows a special gift of healing upon the young Namek, Dende. And Nail returns to defend Guru from the villainous Frieza. But will Nail’s special training be enough? (Episode 56)
Dragon Ball Z: Vol. 49 - Cell Games - Guardian's Return
A New Guardian
With the day of the tournament drawing near, Goku seems oddly relaxed.  That is until the Royal Military foolishly tries to stop Cell with ordinary weapons!  The attack quickly becomes a suicide mission, and now Goku is determined to bring them back to life!  But that would require... new Dragon Balls?!  (Episode 157)

Dende's Dragon
After a little help from King Kai, Goku travels to New Namek to recruit a guardian for the Earth!  Most of the Nameks quickly refuse the offer, but there's one little guy who can't wait to go!  Dende is back, and he's going to create a new Dragon!  (Episode 158)

The Puzzle of General Tao
Goku comes face to face with an old adversary -- It's General Tao!  Goku's earch for the Dragon Balls has led him to the aging general, but unless the Super Saiyan can solve the crafty villain's puzzle, that search just might come to an end!  (Episode 159)
Dragon Ball Z: Movie #4 - Lord Slug
The end of the world is fast approaching, in the form of a giant asteroid on a collision course with Earth. Not if Goku has anything to say about it! Goku and Krillin race to the rescue. Using their incredible powers, they narrowly deflect the asteroid from its deadly course. The Earth is saved... or is it?

A dark vessel descends from the surface of the asteroid, carrying a powerful new enemy - the evil overlord, Lord Slug. His forces have come to take control of the Earth and steal its natural resources, only in the process they intend to wipe out the entire human race! And when Lord Slug discovers the seven magic Dragon Balls, it seems nothing can stop his diabolical plans from coming to pass!

Now that Lord Slug has the power of the Dragon Balls in his grasp, can even Goku save the Earth from the clutches of this mysterious invader?
Dragon Ball Z: Movie #5 - Cooler's Revenge
After defeating Frieza on Namek, Goku returns to a peaceful life on Earth with his family and friends. But the heroic Saiyan's world is turned upside down when a routine camping trip turns into a desperate struggle for life! Who is this assailant that has appeared out of the shadows to ambush Goku and his friends? None other than Cooler, Frieza's brother, who has come to settle the score!...
Dragon Ball GT: Vol. 12 - Revolution
The creation of the evil Shadow Dragons have Goku and Pan racing across the globe in an effort to regain the dragon balls and restore the damaged planet. With three recovered dragon balls, Giru leads the Saiyans on a collision course with Naturon, the unbelievable Dragon of Earth.

What Naturon lacks in physical strength he makes up for in cunning. The despicable dragon soon reveals his true power by commandeering the body of Pan and forcing Goku to make the most difficult decision of his life!

Episodes #52-54
