24 on the shelves and 4 on the way. Some also have alternate edits (I've read that for at least one the U.S. edit is so extreme as to be essentially a different movie).
I know the first one had even scenes with an American actor (Raymond Burr) edited in, so maybe that's the one you are referring to? Godzilla, King of the Monsters is on Disc 2 of the version I have, but I haven't watched it yet.
I think it might have been Godzilla Raids Again.

Additionally, I've got The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms which is widely considered to have had quite an influence on the way Godzilla looks, and perhaps even have inspired the original.
It's maybe around 30 years since I saw that, but I have fond memories...
Hopefully I will too once I've seen it.

I really do have a lot of catching up to do.

I spotted Battlestar Gallactica at Walmart this evening and decided to go ahead and get it.  This is someone's fault here...I just can't remember who at the moment.   :hysterical:  But I know at least one person here has talked about how good the show is.  So..it is their fault.

Not me this time! I haven't seen it yet...  :P

I watched the first couple of disc of season 1 so far... and I am enjoying every minute of it so far... so it might have been me that you saw post about it.

I did post reviews lauding Battlestar Galactica... and I still stand behind them... And I'd be more than happy to convert anyone to it! It is an awesome show!

At first I thought it might have been you Pete...then I thought I remembered seeing reviews about it from Sebestian too.  And maybe Karsten.
So I think this one is several people's fault.

Coincidence?

IGN posted a Top 50 Sci-Fi TV Shows feature. Guess what's sitting at #1?

I was looking at the list... I actually might have to "marathon" those. That's a lot of material, some still airing actually afaik, but so many look interesting!

I got the Torchwood sets I ordered today..and Season 4 of The Guild.  I'll see about doing the profile for The Guild one tomorrow..too tired to mess with it tonight...unless someone else gets to it first.  And I want to do child profiles for the discs in the first 2 Torchwood sets. Maybe tomorrow.

Ohh...when I was looking at the second season set of Torchwood I finally figured out why the one guy looked so familiar...In 2 episodes there is a guest character and James Marsters played him.  I just couldn't place who he was because he had dark hair instead of blonde like Spike.  And when I watched the episodes on BBC America, the credits went by too fast for me to read them.

I've got that list of science fiction shows up..will look at it next.

I just got done reading the list.

I've seen several of those shows...at least some of them.  I have several too.  I just need time to watch them.  Some that I haven't seen on the list sound interesting too.  I may get to them someday.
