I would love to hear your thoughts on Persepolis at some point. I've been really hanging out to see it for a long time but haven't come across it yet.

Exactly like me! I've heard a little bit about the film. Today I saw it as a bargain by chance in a local consumer electronics retailer (I spend there my lunchtimes very often  ;D).

I got mine at the local library sale for $1! I hadn't heard of it but it was in mint condition so I thought what the heck. I love when a blind buy, especially a cheap one, turn out to be a movie I really like. I'll be interested in what you think of it.

Just a heads up to our R1 friends, who might also be interested to check it out: The UK release of "Black" is region free and it is also available at Amazon.com Marketplace.

I remember seeing it years ago and liking it..though it has been long enough that I've forgotten most of what was going on.

Well... I just couldn't help myself. I just ordered...

CSI: New York: Season 1
Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) heads the New York City Crime Lab, and like his CSI counterparts in Las Vegas and Miami, he and the talented members of his forensics division grapple with the "how" and the "why" of crime scene investigation. For Taylor and his team – Stella (Melina Kanakaredes), Flack (Eddie Cahill), Aiden (Vanessa Ferlito), Danny (Carmine Giovinazzo) and Sheldon (Hill Harper) – it's a big Big Apple, filled from stem to core with the routine, the extraordinary, and the bizarre as they probe the fascinating world of criminalistics in 'CSI: NY'.

Every since I started to watch CSI I been hooked on the series. I just ordered season 4 earlier today. I found myself looking at the sales listing again this evening When I saw the other CSI incarnations are also on sale. So I got the first season of CSI New York. It is on sale at amazon right now for only $12.99! I considered CSI: Miami for a brief moment till I remembered it stars David Caruso... and I just hate that guy. For some reason he is just painful for me to watch.

Hopefully I will enjoy this one just as much as the first CSI!

Sounds like I can skip it... I never really was much of a Magnum P.I. fan.

I watched CSI: New York some during the first season..  I haven't watched it for a while.  I liked it ok. I'm not sure why I haven't watched it more.
