and this arrived today

The Lord of The Rings

I know  :bag: but I couldn't wait for the Extended Versions due later this year / next year / the year after / whenever Sir Peter Jackson and New Line can be bothered to do them  ;D plus these are the versions I saw in the cinema.

Dave
I was soo tempted to buy these in HMV before I found realised they were the theatrical versions. I hope they release the extended version in some nice LE packaging when they eventually arrive.

I also hope that the Extended Versions, when they finally arrive, have some nice packaging.

Today this arrived

The other day I got a free $5 Walmart card (new store opening in area was a free gift to come check out store). So I went today... and right to the DVD section. I know... big surprise! And what do I find in the $5 bargain DVDs?...

A Different World: Season 1

So with that free $5 card they sent me... I got this one for out of pocket 30¢ for the tax!  ;D

A Different World: Season 1

Too bad the other seasons were never released. I loved to watch it when it was first aired on German television.

When I searched for child profiles at DVD Profiler I seen season 2 listed at least. So looks like there is one more set out I can buy.  :)

I seen this show rerun on Nick@Nite long ago... what I saw of it I enjoyed!

I was a little surprised to see that was Marisa Tomei on the cover though.

Season 2 was available for pre-order a few years ago, but it was never released.

She was on the main cast in the first season (roommate of Denise). This is where I first saw her in anything.
In season 2 the series took a whole new direction. Gone were Lisa Bonet (Denise) and Marisa Tomei from the cast and the series focused on Dwayne and Whitley. Even though I was first disappointed with the change at the time, this changed direction grew on me and I would love to see it again.

Denise got written out of the show because Lisa Bonet got pregnant.  Denise dropped out of college and went back home for a while..and then went off to Africa with some kind of professor or something to study pygmies for a year or two.  When Denise came back, she was married to Martin and had Olivia as a step daughter.

Valentins Box (Amazon.de)
A complete blind buy. I was browsing for something cheap to get free shipping on my order. It contains the following three movies.
Over Her Dead Body (Amazon.de)
This one I already watched on Saturday (see my review). I liked it, so this set isn't a complete loss if I shouldn't like the other two.
Un divan à New York (Amazon.de)

Martha - Meet Frank, Daniel and Laurence (Amazon.de)

Karsten!

Almost an Angel is such a brilliant film! .... Have you found a reasonably priced copy? every time I see it its like £20... I can't justify that on one DVD  :bag:

I love that film so much!

***EDIT***

...Well, it seems its dropped dramatically since I last looked for it. Wow!
