I don't have any DVD's to post but I just have to say that it's so uncanny that Pan's Labyrinth is the first thing I see here since I am currently sitting in my media class at school watching scenes from it. Pans, as well as V for Vendetta are the two films I have studied for media the whole year.

The one Walmart in town - not the one that is being remodeled - has some $3 DVDs right now.  I just found them by accident.  So of course I had to look and I got 3.

Just arrived in the mail, waiting for my animated films marathon (which I will have eventually). Not long of school left!

Really looking forward to your thoughts on this, Matthias. One thing to note, the director's cut hasn't got the 5.1 sound and if I remember correctly, the additional scenes are noticeably lower quality. The DC is definitely the better version though.

I was planning on watching this (again!) for the current marathon, but I hadn't realised there was a 3-disc version. I may hold off and upgrade... :hmmmm:

I usually prefer the original (mono in this case) audio track anyway.

The third disc is just a soundtrack CD. The only reason I went for this release is the inclusion of a new documentary (Burnt Offering), which got a lot of praise.
