I took my Lesbian Movie Marathon as a reason to finally buy this one from my wishlist.

Andy Richter Controls the Universe: The Complete Series
($27.36 at DVD Pacific)
A short-lived series I enjoyed very much when it was on.

Don't know anything about it... both were complete blind buys. I got the Date Movie out of the $5 bargain bin. I take it that it is not good? I do love spoof movies so maybe I will enjoy it.

Well the first original Scary Movie was passable, but I gave up after the next one. I bet you'll have seen those and probably enjoyed them, so there's a chance you will like this, but I think that Date Movie and Epic Movie represent the absolute lowest of the low in films. Made by people with no talent or at least no intelligence, that they can't come up with their own ideas so just take the piss out of other films. And some of those were comedies. How are you supposed to get a laugh out of making something that was already funny into something stupid?

I always looked at something like that as an "all in good fun" type of thing. I have always enjoyed that type of humor. (I know I am probably in the minority there) And yes I have (and enjoyed to an extent) Scary Movie 1-4... so as you said I will probably enjoy it.
Not like we never disagreed on a movie before!

I can garanty that you will not enjoy it Pete, even if this your type of humour. This had nothing to do with parody movie like Airplane, Top Secret or Naked Gun. Those two untalented ""directors"" and ""writters"" do nothing but take their audience for idiot brainless zombie who had never seen a movie (not surprising since their audience is the 13-16 years idiot teens). They don't make a parody of the film, but one of the trailer of the film and they do some ""joke"" using what they have seen two years before at Entertainment Tonight and Peoples Magazine (for that I aint sure since I can believe they know how to read).
If you want to have an idea of what await you, check those 2 recap of their ""movies"" :
Epic Movie
and
Disaster Movie
Honestly Pete, Footloose or Xanadu would be a more enjoyable time for you than this. Me I prefer to watch Lizzie Borden 2 days non stop (maybe with a break to listen Glitter and The Sorority too) than this.

OK... I think I am now expecting much of nothing at all from it. At least if nothing else... it was in the $5 Bargain Bin... so I am not out too much. Maybe Brittany will get a kick out of it. (a 13 year old girl) :p)
