In the category IMDB 250 for 1000 points...

There are a few Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award winners on the IMDB 250. This film has the highest rating, what is it?

:readthis:
Technically, it's the film rated as number 1.
It's a product of USA and NOT the United Kingdom.

I suck at this second round.

So I'm going to make a wild guess (what do I have to lose anyway?) - I don't even know if this movie won an oscar: Der Untergang - The Downfall?

That is incorrect. You lose 1000 points.

Der Untergang was nominated, but lost to Mar adentro that year.

The answer was Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others), which currently sits at #55 on the list.

Jon, could you please select the next category and point total?

Same category, 800...

Lives of Others? Wow. Richly deserved, but slightly surprised, not sure why.

Not counting the films made by Pixar, this is the highest rated film by Disney on IMDB 250, what is it?

Oh no. My Disney knowledge is poor, but I'll guess at The Lion King  :bag:

Same category, 600, if right... HA!

In the category Acting Families for 800 points...

This trio of actors, a father, mother and daughter, appeared in one film together, a Christmas classic from the thirties, where they appeared as members of a famous poor family. After that, the mother retired to raise her own family, while the father and daughter both went on to long, distinguished careers. One as a famous character actor in films, while the other became famous on television. The father is most famous for two roles: a sheriff in a classic screwball comedy and a judge in a classic Christmas film, both made in the 40's. The daughter would go on to play the mother in two iconic television series in the 50's and 60's. One show was about a dog, while the other show took place in space.

What is the name of this acting family?
