I don't want to come up with something myself but of those mentioned so far I am willing to re-watch/discuss the following:
Cloverfield
Scary Movie
Fargo
American Pie
Spinal Tap
Saw
Serenity

I don't own now or ever:
Jersey Girl
Supersize Me

Cloverfield  (did it change the face of movie monster films?)
Scary Movie (its influence on the parody genre)
Jersey Girl (Why do so many Kevin Smith fans hate this movie?)
Supersize Me (Did this really change the way documentaries were made?)
Fargo (does lying about how a true a story is effect the audience?)

I have all of these except for "Supersize Me". But I saw it at the cinema (for free :) ). So I can give probably some opinion on this one also. But I don't plan to buy it for this review.

Interesting, I have Serenity but have never watched it... ill save it for when we get to it though :p

American Pie - (Changing the face of teen comedies)
Spinal tap - (the way a mockumentry should be made)
Saw (can horror movies go to far graphically?)

I don't have Serenity and I will only buy if I should buy Firefly at some point. I am still sceptical about this series. I watched the first few episodes when it originally aired and I didn't enjoy it. Maybe I would today. At least I am curious because of Summer Glau and Nathan Fillion.

I don't have any Saw movie and I don't plan on getting one.

Well, not everyone has to take part in each discussion, I know certain films are more popular then others in the list... Like Cloverfield for example.. alot of people seem to have that.

I will make a poll either tonight or tomorrow of the films currently hear

If anyone else has ideas please add them and ill sort it out tonight then we can decide on a film this week :)

...lurking about, waiting for the movie poll. I will most likely take place in this, depending on the movie chosen.

I think even I can keep up with one movie at a time!  :bag:

:p Ok tomorrow morning my time ill start the poll... then we can wait until friday for people to vote (maybe before then) and we have the rest of the month... or maybe 2 weeks? to disscuss the winning movie...

there will then be a second poll... with any added movies on for the next discussion.

Most of those choices sound good to me as well.  Like the others, I don't have Jersey Girl or Scary Movie. Don't plan to get them.  I do have Cloverfield, but thought it was a stinking pile. :P

The one that caught my eye was Supersize Me.  I've owned it for years and have never gotten around to watching it.  And the rest are all good choices as well.

I normally skip the marathon type threads, but I think this could be interesting.

The thing about the marathon threads is we tend to wander off in separate directions. The movie analysis was interesting because you engaged on one topic. I hope people still look up the posts because there's some interesting waffle in there!

I had the misfortune to sit through Cloverfield in the theater..  I'll never watch it again. NEVER.  All that shaky camera work gave me a horrible headache.

I have Scary Movie, American Pie, and Serenity.  I could do those.

I have to say when I went to see Cloverfield the first couple of minutes did give me a headache but then I got used to it, I quite liked the movie... its not as bad as a film called Dragon Wars... which is even shakier .

Too bad I just discover this film exist, I would have suggest it for the discussion.
Read the recap and try to not laugh at how insane it looks.

I didn't have any issues with the camera work in Cloverfield.  Didn't care for it, but it didn't cause me problems.  I just thought it wasn't a good movie.  I think it's the amateur style to it.  Saw it again recently with my son and still didn't like it.
