The only one I have that you mentioned is Birds of Prey.

And I hope Due South soon

I like the Mountie but I have heard there's only one release of the show and it isn't that good quality-wise?

The US release, which sells for 20$, is supposed to be of poorer quality than the Canadian release I got. But I haven't watched it for years, so I cannot say how good the quality is on mine. The UK releases are supposed to be of better quality.
But I think for 20$ you cannot go that wrong. And the reviews on the video quality on Amazon are mixed.
Maybe Rick can say more about it, as it seems that he got the US release (according to his online collection).

And no Tom, you're not the only one with Due South. Great show.

I have just seen, that the complete series is now available for a meager 20 bucks for all 68 45-minute episodes!!!! This should make it interesting for a blind buy for all of you (if you do not know it already). Due South was one of the first TV series I have bought when a TV season was still quite pricey. I have paid over $300 Canadian for the complete series  :voodoo:

:o Is there something to Due South beyond being a somewhat quirky cop show? I remember watching a few episodes on German TV, but without noticing something out of the ordinary. It was dubbed of course and I didn't pay much attention, so that might explain it. I really liked Paul Gross in Slings & Arrows, though.

It's a real fun quirky cop show. More precisely a buddy cop show with one being a goody-two-shoes Mounty and the street-wise American detective. It's fun how the show pokes fun at the contrast of the supposedley always friendly Canadians and the rude Americans.
It was quite a hit on German television. This is why the German TV station "Pro Sieben" was one of the producers of the resurrection of the series after it was cancelled after the second season.

Because of talking about this series, I got in the mood to watch it again. Does anyone plan to join? I can wait until everyone has their set, if they choose to get it.

I'm in. It would be better for me if you wait at least a week. Moving my office again next Wednesday. I would like to wait until then. Of course if others are joining in we can wait longer.

Someone mentioned the quality. As I recall it was fine. I watched the set while working on a small TV with a crappy little speaker though so no guarantees.  :-\

I have opened up a thread for Due South.
Depending on pace I am open for running another marathon in parallel.

Jon, Jimmy, since I received these
The Mario Bava Collection Volume 1
The Mario Bava Collection Volume 2
today we can start making arrangements any time soon how and when to go through the sets.

Of course, anybody else owning these (or single movies from them) is more than welcome to join!

I'm ready when Jon and you will be. I just got my new baseball game today, but I've always the time for watching movies. I let you decide the calendar for the watching ;)

Like Achim had said if anybody had the movies you are welcome to participate (just let us know what you have here) ;)

No it's the new version of Out of the park baseball (OOTP X). I only play strategic sport game, no arcade game for me.

Oh yeah, you mentioned that last year when the 2009 version came out. My bad!
