Would anyone be interested in a collective James Bond marathon? I would say one movie per week chronologically.

That, I'd definitely join. I've been wanting to watch them since I got them and it would be the final incentive to do so.

I have a similar problem. I haven't seen most of them since I got some years ago. I wanted to start a marathon for quite a time, but I never had a real incentive to do so.

I'd join in for the ones I have (7). Can't say I envy you Moonraker or Die Another Day in any case! :tease:

I'd be interested in this, preferably to watch them in order?

For February, I am intending to 'celebrate' the oscars month by having a marathon watching previous best picture winners, initially the films that I own but have not watched, but also throwing a few in that I have seen before but really like.
Does anyone else have an interest in this or similar Oscar themed marathon?

At present my 'Oscars' stats are as follows...

I could join, but it'd be a very short marathon for me since I only have these:

1959   Ben-Hur
1961   West Side Story
1972   The Godfather
1974   The Godfather: Part II
1975   One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
1976   Rocky
1984   Amadeus
1991   The Silence of the Lambs
1993   Schindler's List
1994   Forrest Gump
1995   Braveheart
1996   The English Patient
1997   Titanic
1999   American Beauty
2000   Gladiator
2001   A Beautiful Mind
2002   Chicago
2003   The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
2004   Million Dollar Baby
2005   Crash
2006   The Departed
2007   No Country for Old Men

I'd also be up for it because although it would also be a short-ish run for me, it's a great excuse to catch-up on some classics. I've seen almost all of them, but what's the point in a DVD collection if you don't find an excuse to rewind?

1934 : It Happened One Night
1938 : You Can't Take It With You
1940 : Rebecca
1943 : Casablanca
1950 : All About Eve
1954 : On the Waterfront
1957 : The Bridge on the River Kwai
1959 : Ben-Hur
1960 : The Apartment
1962 : Lawrence of Arabia
1967 : In the Heat of the Night
1971 : The French Connection
1972 : The Godfather
1974 : "The Godfather, Part II
1975 : One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
1978 : The Deer Hunter
1986 : Platoon
1990 : Dances with Wolves
1991 : The Silence of the Lambs
1992 : Unforgiven
1993 : Schindler's List
1994 : Forrest Gump
1995 : Braveheart
1997 : Titanic
1999 : American Beauty
2000 : Gladiator
2003 : The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King
2004 : Million Dollar Baby
2005 : Crash
2006 : The Departed

There's a few I wouldn't bother with as I've only watched them recently (Lambs, Godfather), but loads I've been trying to fit in. To be honest that would still be 23, so it would be a case of simply trying to keep up anyway! :training:

My list is short:

1934 : It Happened One Night
1943 : Casablanca
1958 : Gigi
1959 : Ben-Hur
1964 : My Fair Lady
1965 : The Sound of Music
1986 : Platoon
1988 : Rain Man
1994 : Forrest Gump
1995 : Braveheart
1997 : Titanic
1999 : American Beauty
2000 : Gladiator
2001 : A Beautiful Mind
2004 : Million Dollar Baby
2006 : The Departed

Maybe I will take part with a few of them. Some of them I have watched fairly recently. But there are a few I haven't watched for years. And one I haven't even finished watching at all.

My list is probably the shorter since my genre of film aren't Oscar materials (not a bad thing, usually oscarized movies are boring  :tomato:)

1972 - The Godfather
1974 - The Godfather: Part II
1978 - The Deer Hunter
1986 - Platoon
1991 - The Silence of the Lambs
2001 - A Beautiful Mind

Not enough material for a marathon here

Nope..mine is shorter   :hysterical:

1991 Silence of the Lambs
2002 Chicago
2003 The Lord of the the Rings: Return of the King

And I could get my hands on my mom's copy of Gone With the Wind..but I only own 3.  I own others that have been nominated for other things or won for other things, but only those for best picture.

I have them all, though I have gotten though the first ..umm...5 I think.  The next one I need to watch is On Her Majesty's Secret Service.  I could join in from that point on.  It would get me motivated to finish watching and reviewing them.

1976 : Rocky
