I think it is ridiculous to reboot this series again already.

Jimmy...
I would LOVE to see a Captain America movie!

Seen the first 2, didn't like the second so didn't care for the third one. But it sure make laugh to see your entousiasm for a reboot (or your fanboy reactions)...

Seriously the first one was made 7 years ago
Why not someone new? Captain America, The Avengers, Thor, even an Archie film would be better than that ::)

My concern came from not wanting a reboot at all and thinking the only reason they're doing so is to roll it out in 3D. The first two Spidey's had more heart than marketing gimmicks...

Good news ;D

The Captain America was my favorite comic when I was a kid. Just hope that it won't be another MTV edited film full of bad CGI.
I've always prefered The Avengers comic to the X-Men. How you couldn't prefer them? Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and Hulk, just to name few, were members at one point or another ;D

Captain America will be directed by Joe Johnston who had directed The Rocketeer so that look interesting to me. The Avengers look wrong : no Captain America or Wasp, some aren't even in the original one (Nick Fury and Loki) and who the fuck is War Machine?

Cap will be in Avengers... but I don't think they can really confirm things until after all the other films have been released. (they are making all these solo films so they can make the avengers movie.... it would be silly to not include him if they are gonna reboot him as well, right?)

War Machine is an Ironman Ally, he will be in the next Iron Man movie and be played by Don Cheadle, Terrence Howard played Jim Rhodes in the first Ironman film but due to an argument he has been replaced. :p

Nick Fury was added because he links all the films together

Kenneth Branagh is directing Thor and I think it will suit him. Really looking forward to that one.

.... Robert Pattinson or Michael Cera for the new spidy?

I don't think either of those are anywhere near the right idea. I don't think Pattinson would go anywhere near it though as it's too close to the all conquering Twilight rubbish. Ok, Harrison Ford overlapped Solo and Indy, but they were at least similar.

Nah, this stinks of a tabloid website throwing mud at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Oh please no.  No no no no no no no.

If they are going to go ahead with a reboot already, they need to do it right..don't cast someone just because they are popular..find the right people for the parts.  Pattinson is too old if they want to go back to a high school Peter.  So is Cera.  No.  I'm not sure who, but not either of them.

I never did like Dunst as Mary Jane.  I did just have a thought on who might work for her..if they go teenager..the girl from Castle that plays Alexis.

Since Avengers and Thor are in the works anyway, why not discuss Spider-man nonetheless? :P

Well there used to be that Archie cartoon :p im sure archies weird mysteries would make a good movie! Id like to see who would play Jug head in an archie movie.

I have to agree that both of those people are wrong for the part, Im not sure who I would pick for the part but it would be on of those two.

Thor is in preproduction (AFAIK) and is to be directed by Kenneth Brannagh.

Captain America is pencilled in for a 2012 release. The Avengers will then released in 2013, as they will have introduced the non-comic reading masses to all of the major players by then.
