I stopped playing video games a long time ago. Not because I feel too old for them, but because I don't really have the time or the patience for them. Even when I played I often used the cheat codes at some point when it became too complicated for me.

I understand that.  I think I've gotten stuck in just about every game I've played.  I've had to look up stuff several times or get books to figure out certain things.

I have only ever finished one game ..and that was on the child level.  :hysterical:  So I'm far from talented with games.  But I do have fun.  I still want to finish Kingdom Hearts.  I just haven't taken time to play it for a long time.

The only game I've finished in Recent times was Burnout Paradise.  It was a near perfect game in my opinion.

I stopped with Doom 3.  Could wait to get it, got it for Christmas, played for about an hour or so.  Never even got to any monsters.  Then just stopped.  Picked it back up a year or so later and thought I'd give it another try.  Played about an hour or so and got bored again.

I don't mind little games.  Like on my phone or a little Minesweeper to pass some time.  But the big games?  Can't really get into them anymore for some reason.  Burnout is the only game since the original Doom that I played and played and replayed.  Beat it multiple times and played some more.  Usually I'm a cheat book guy too.

Marie I got stuck on Kingdom Hearts and my PS2 broke down before I ever had a chance to finish it haha.
I am however currently played Uncharted on PS3 and am loving every minute on it. I am playing it on easy rather than normal or hard but still finding some parts challenging, without the added factor of getting seriously stuck all the time. Uncharted has impressed me a lot so far, great voice-acting, great visuals and the music is also fantastic for this large-scale game. It's the type of game I an definatly see being turned into a movie.

Have you played Fallout 3? Id recomend it if you like open ended RPG type games, although does take a long time to complete. it even has voice actors such as Liam Neeson and Malcom McDowell

I rented Kingdom Hearts first and I was doing fairly well.  Then I got stuck at this one point and was almost ready to give up, but I read more online..and realized I just read the instructions for this one part wrong and I was able to keep going.

From what I could tell from what I'd read, I am closer to the end of the game.  I've been to all the worlds and battled the bosses once.  I fought one of the main bad guys once.  Now I have to do something that sort of resets the worlds and causes harder bad guys to show up.  I was trying to go back to a few of them first and try to find a few small things I missed first.  But I think once the worlds are reset or whatever, then it isn't long before I have to start fighting the main bad guys..I think there are a few of them.

Do you remember where you got stuck in the game?

Nah I haven't played it, so far I only have Uncharted as it was the game I got with the PS3. I might check out Fallout 3 though when I finish uncharted. I'm also looking at games like Assasins Creed and Bioshock. Ha, all those games have sequels now and I am yet to play the originals. Oh well, I will get there eventually.

Umm Marie it was so long ago, but I think I got stuck in the Hercules area. All I remember is I never got to the Nightmare Before Christmas area which I wanted to get to.

The Hercules area gave me a little trouble too.  All those fights to get past and that giant dog.  I'm thinking the Nightmare Before Christmas areas is one of the later ones.  I'd have to look again to see for sure.

I don't think it was released on PS3. If it was I'd love to get it and have another crack at it.

I doubt they would re-release it unless they were going to upgrade the graphics etc, although it may be released on the playstation network one day.

You could one some early models I think but you can't anymore. I traded in my PS2 games anyway when I got the PS3.

No, the orignal PS3 had backwards compatibility, it could read the "blue discs" PS2 games were on however, this was expensive for sony and they were loosing money, they took it out, to save on there loses. (they still loose money on every PS3 bought) In theory PS1 games should work on a PS3 as they are just average discs, I don't have a PS3 to test this on and my brothers not around to ask :/

I am currently playing Assassin's Creed II and never played the first one. Don't really feel I am missing too much. I'd receommend the second one, yet the first one is infamous for rather boring gameplay (lots of waiting and running around without anything happening). I may be missing something, but I didn't see a difficulty setting for this game.

Fallout 3 would really be all you need for a while, assuming you'll like it. I clocked somewhere around 200 hours in it and still have two of the five expansions to play soon. But then I play on Hard and died and replayed a lot...

Bioshock 2 is supposed to be harder than the first one. I played the first one on Hard and had a hard time with it. I think if when I pick it up again I will go down with the difficulty setting.

[I am pointing out the difficulty, because you said you play Uncharted on Easy and still find difficult spots (I played on Hard and then on "Crushing" once that was unlocked).]

On easy I have only found one or two more difficult spots on Uncharted but I'm actually getting through it faster than any other game I have played. I'm thinking of playing it on Hard when I finish it until I have enough money to buy a new game as they are just so damn expensive.

I'm really interested in playing Bioshock, I've watched a lot of the trailers for it and think the design of the game looks fantastic.
