Since I got my computer HD-DVD player a few weeks ago I've spent a lot of time looking at softwares and comparing softwares and versions.

I know this deal on PowerDVD is only 8$ but one should compare the versions before buying even if it's only to avoid deception later when finding it (may) not do what you expected.  The standard versions in most programs are usually quite limited, mostly with sound features in this case.

I don't own any BR discs, I posted it for anyone else who may only own SD discs.

It's a great deal when compared to purchasing the software or upgrading online from Cyberlink.

I know it's a great deal.  I didn't mean to say it was not.  I just wanted to mention for people who aren't computer savvy and may not realize there's different versions of these programs.

And it's also a good deal if someone wants the Deluxe or Ultra version.  Once can buy this Standard version at 8$ and then buy an upgrade to a higher version.

Ultra's regular price is 100$, upgrade is currently 53$
Deluxe's regular price is 70$, upgrade is 50$

So basically one can save 40$ on the Ultra version.
