Kathy, I think your snow is here.  It snowed most of the day yesterday..that added a few more inches to what was already on the ground.  It was snowing a bit this morning but that stopped.  It has started up again..who knows when it will stop.

I had to go out this morning.  The roads weren't too bad.  I got stuck in the driveway when I got home though.  What fun.

I was a little stiff when I woke up this morning, but no pain from falling, so that's something.

I'm getting walloped at the moment. It looks like we're in for at least 10 inches of snow.

I can't wait to go snowshoeing again.   :yahoo:

Marie - I'm sorry to hear you got hurt but I'm glad it wasn't too serious - falls can be pretty bad. A simple thing that may help your stiffness is an Epsom salt bath. It really works wonders - just follow the directions on the box.

We are just at the end of a whole week where the weather has been around 30C-36C. (86F- 96F). Not too hot thankfully, we have been quite fortunate this Summer to not have many extreme heat days. That has kept the bushfires to a minimum which we are thankful about after Black Saturday (which had it's first one year anniversary last week).

I'm not hurting from falling now..It did hurt at the time though.  I was having some muscle spasms in my back after that happened for about 10 minutes.  Thankfully no more of that. Not feeling stiff right now...may try the bath later though..depends on how I feel.

We saw more snow on yesterday. Not too much but on top of everything else school is closed again today. Brittany hasn't had any school this week so far.

I broke a sweat today.

I wore my warm jacket, since it had been cool the previous days, and in fact we had 25ยบ or more :heat:

I'm so jealous I could scream! I still have several weeks of therapy before I even think of getting out to play in the snow again.

Oh well, I have lots of scanning and DVD watching to do!

It was like being in an arctic jungle out there today.

The wind and snow last night had weighted down the saplings adjacent to the paths I trekked today, bowing them over across the trail. I was using my poles to knock the snow off of them, and they would snap back into their normal upright positions.

It was tiring, trudging through the snow and hacking at the branches, and every so often the wind would kick up as I was brushing a tree and the falling snow would cascade down on top of me.

Initially, I'd recoil, but then realize that it was cooling me off at the same time and it was great.  :yahoo:

I know it sounds ridiculous, but I live for this time of year. Nothing beats snowshoe hiking.  :thundergod:

I'm going to try and do about 10 miles tomorrow.

The snow seems to have stopped here..for now.  I have no clue how much is on the ground.  The driveway is finally cleared out, so no more getting stuck.

Though now the garage door opener is acting up.

Emma, whereabouts are you? Technically, I can call what it's doing now "snowing", but it's barely a dusting!
